How's it going, everyone? Hope you are all well!! I'm sure some of y'all have noticed I have not been very active lately, and I am really sad about that. I've really missed making and posting art, but things have been a bit... stressful. Hence, this update! I'm gonna talk about what I've been up to and what future plans are! 1. I've got an Insta and an UnVale account now! I'm sure people know what Insta is, but UnVale might be new to y'all so I'll give a little explanation. It's a site to share character and world concepts with other artists - 10/10 would recommend, though it is directed at audiences slightly older than Scratch's average - think 13 years old - everything's SFW, but a bit more mature than 10 year olds may have on here! You can find my on Insta and UnVale at Socks.Scribbles and SocksScribbles, respectively! I'm gonna be posting stuff that's too "mature" for Scratch to handle - think Crystals by Skittles. More on that below. 2. School. Has. Been. SO. Stressful. AP exams are coming up, I'm SO tired, and it has been taking a BIG toll on my art-making abilities and health in general. Doing my best to deal with it, but my wrists have been acting up from all the writing and typing and viola-playing, which can make it VERY hard to draw, as you can probably imagine. Unfortunately, there's not much I can do about that except NOT draw, so... yeah. I've been having to limit how much time I spend drawing which makes me really sad, but it is what my poor wrists need :,) 3. I'm not going to get much into this, but some... bad... Internet things had/ have been going on - nothing to me directly, but just... had an effect on me. Simply put, someone I really looked up to turned out to be super scummy. I'm doing a lot better now, but... yeah. Getting the happy art juices flowing again was... a struggle. 4: I've been working on developing my comic!! I'm really, REALLY excited to share this in full with y'all when I've got it down a bit more, but you can check it out on my UnVale account! It's probably not going to be posted here 'cause of the age range (12+, I'm thinking, there are some dark topics in there, nothing explicit though). But yeah, that's definitely been eating up my free time. I LOVE working on my comic, but it does mean less Scratch art. 6. On a happier note, I'm headed to a convention this weekend with a couple of friends!! We're cosplaying as Percy Jackson characters, hence the T-shirt in the thumbnail :D I'm not gonna share which convention for security purposes, but I might post pictures of what I got/ saw while I'm there later! And yeah, that's about it! Sorry if this is a bit too vent-y, but I wanted y'all to know some of what's been going on and why I haven't been around as much.
