I outdid myself, this is even more late

Space/click It seems that I have adopted some of Chavis’s project naming humor. Anyways, this is technically for Valentine’s Day. It is March now but that’s not the point. Okay, now onto the art. 1. I should’ve added more pink to get the Valentine’s theme across, because right now it looks a tad bit like Rykyr is going through his Vampiric outfit phase. I actually had this idea awhile back (last year actually), but it’s still late. :’) I tried out a semi-watercolor look with Procreate’s Old Beach brush. It probably would’ve helped if I had actually planned on using it originally but I instead decided to use it when I was in denial of using cell shading because I could never get that to look right. I am proud of it though. :) Also, this is the debut for my new Rykyr design! :D I’ll talk more on that in a moment. 2. The original outfit design. This art is from last year and features Rykyr’s original design. I wanted to go for a more gothic styling instead of the almost militaristic style I normally give him. I also hope to draw him without the cloak at a later date because I really like his dress shirt and clothing design! 3. Some facial studies for what my new Rykyr design would be. Aside from a few other changes, I decided most of the change would take place in his facial features, particularly his ears. I wanted to capture how cool they look in his canon design and I hope that I achieved that. I left a doodle of one of his prototype ear designs because I thought it still looked cool. Not going to lie, I do not like how I drew her in this. ‘:D I feel like I did not do her justice, so I’m hoping for some feedback from Loony. However, I was trying to draw a woman and I can’t draw women hardly at all. So it was a big day for me. But, I still feel like there’s something missing from this design that is present in the original.
