He observed them, his eyes fixed on the gruesome scene unfolding before him. The sight of them mercilessly tearing at her fragile body sent shivers down his spine. Her desperate cries for help pierced through the air, pleading for his intervention. Yet, he found himself paralyzed, unable to do anything but bear witness to the horror unfolding before him. Fear gripped his heart, a sensation he had never experienced before. Slowly, he mustered the courage to move, his feet inching forward before breaking into a sprint. In his hand, an iron sword materialized, ready to slice through the air with deadly precision. A surge of different emotions surged within him, a volatile mix of anger and sadness that should never be trusted when combined. His face remained dark and devoid of any emotion as he mercilessly struck at them, ending their lives. Suddenly, one of them seized him, their claws digging into his flesh as he fought to break free from their grip. He managed to escape, but not without a deep, fresh wound on his arm. It resembled the savage attack of a tiger, tearing into his very flesh. As he glanced back up, they had vanished into thin air. His daughter lay motionless before him, a devastating sight that shattered his heart into a million pieces. Tears streamed down his face as he called out to her, his voice cracking with anguish. "Birdie!" he cried out, rushing towards her and collapsing to the ground. He placed his sword in his inventory, cradling her lifeless body in his arms. His gaze locked with her vacant eyes, filled with sorrow and despair. "My dear... What have they done to you..." he whispered, his voice strained and broken. His wings enveloped them both, offering a feeble sense of comfort. Driven by anger, he dug his clawed fingers into her flesh, a desperate attempt to release the pent-up fury within him. Determination flickered in his eyes as he looked up, vowing, "They will pay for what they have done. I will make them bleed, a fate worse than death... I promise..." With a heavy heart, he rose to his feet, stealing one last glance at his daughter before walking away. . . . Legend has it that in the distance, a figure with sapphire eyes that glowed like precious gemstones could be seen. Wings, majestic and vast as the mountains themselves, adorned their back. Are The Balladeers truly as they appear? Have they truly remained neutral in the war? Only time will reveal the extent of their deceitful betrayal...
