╔⏤⏤⏤╝Chapter 1: Changes╚⏤⏤⏤╗ "Get dressed, Millie! Let's go!" mum said. "Let's buy you a wand!" "Why do I need another wand?" I asked her. "Do you realise that the wand you're holding is your backup wand?" "Backup wand?" I asked her. "No more questions, Mil. Do as I say." mum said. "And bring that wand along with you." I walked into my room and got changed. What in the world did backup wand mean? We were in the wand shop. "Mildred?" Ollivander looked at me in utter confusion. He looked at my mum and said, "Aah, it's time." "Time for what?" I asked him. "For the WAND to choose you." "But my original already chose me!" I said. "What do I need another wand for?" Ollivander and mum sighed. "That necklace you're wearing." mum said. "Is the Hallows necklace." "WHAT!" I said. "You mean... the three brothers weren't just a story?" "Sadly, no." Ollivander said. "And you have connection with all the three hallows." "And I have the elder wand." "No." Ollivander corrected her. "You have the elder WOOD, while the real elder wand is with none other than Albus Dumbledore." "You mean... my backup wand is its brother?" He nodded. I looked at him. "Have you ever felt a connection with your backup wand right now?" I shook my head. "Then take this." he gave me a wand. I swished it and he said, "Silver Lime wood, phoenix core..." He trailed off. "Is anything wrong?" mum asked him. "Oh! And 10 3/4 inches, slightly springy flexibility." I felt a perfect connection with it. Mum paid ten galleons and then, she said, "Try concentrating on your necklace and your backup wand at the same time." The squeezed my eyes shut and then, I stumbled behind. "Open your eyes, now." Ollivander said. And when I did, I didn't have my old wand in my hands at all. I sighed. "Where did it go?" "Into your necklace." mum said. I looked at my pendant and found the line glowing in golden colour. "It's too powerful, Miss Potter. You MUST guard it." Ollivander said. "How do I get my old one back?" I asked. "You'll figure that out yourself." Olivander said. "It's time to change everything now." Tick, tock, tick, tock, tick, tock... BEEP! I woke up to the sound of my alarm. Phew! It had all been a dream. I'll have my old wand back, and... WHAT! I looked at the bedside table to find my new one instead. I looked at my pendant glowing gold in colour. What just happened? Had Ollivander made sure that my elder wand hadn't been brought in the first place...?
