Mink was sad for the whole day. Iceberg and Summit...and Anemone, had been in their cave for the whole exploring day. Did Summit forget their whole love seen at the SkyWing library? Or did Summit think Mink meant ‘I love you as a friend’? Mink was sitting on her ledge in her sleeping cave. Suddenly Mink’s clawmate Tamarin, the blind RainWing who’s it was her last year at Jade Mountain walked into the room. “Hi Mink.” She said in her sweet voice. “Have you seen Anemone around. I can’t find her. Wait...are you even here?” “Yes Tamarin. And Anemone is in her sleeping cave.” Mink sighed. “Thanks! Do you want to come with me?” Tamarin asked scraping the doorway. “I need to see her and I heard the new student is there!” “Oh...I guess.” Mink said following Tamarin out the door. They walked through the hallways and nearly ran in to Sunny. “Oh hi Mink!” Sunny the dragonet of destiny squeaked. “Um I mean. Hi Mink do you know why the new student is so sad? Oh! Tamarin! Do you know?” “No.” Tamarin replied dragging Mink along with her. Was Summit sad? Because Mink left her in her sleeping cave? Maybe Mink had misunderstood. Maybe Summit did love her. Mink’s talons flew up to her ear and she yelled “the earring!” And ran past Tamarin. Tamarin turned light green and quickly back to her normal blue and yellow. “What’s the rush?” Tamarin yelled from behind her. Mink didn’t answer. Mink ran into Summit’s sleeping cave. Summit was crying with Iceberg watching over her. “You.” Iceberg said icily. “How could you just leave her? Best friends? That is the worst thing I have ever heard.” Iceberg smiled. “Go away. Nobody wants you here.” “No.” Mink hissed walking towards Summit. “I said. Go away! You left her! I claimed her!” Iceberg snarled putting her head above Summit’s snout. “Um...you two have known each other for like...two hours...” Mink started but then Summit jumped up and pushed Iceberg away. “We aren’t together!” Summit exclaimed surprised. “I thought we were just friends!” Summit turned to Mink. “Why did you...” she started but Mink has already leaped forward and hugged Summit. “You are so cold!” Summit hissed. Mink let go. “Sorry. I thought you didn’t want me around.” Mink said. “WHAT!” Summit yelled. “Of course I do silly! I thought you didn’t want me!” Just then Tamarin walked into the room. “Where is Anemone?” She asked. “Not here. She left, sorry.” Summit said. Tamarin smiled and left the room. “WHAT!” Iceberg roared. “No no no. Summit, think, she left you. And she can have anyone. I only want you!” “I am sorry. But I don’t want you. I want my girlfriend. And her name is Mink.” Summit said lifting her head. Mink felt as if she could fly to the moons. “Yes.” Mink said. Iceberg stormed out of the room. “Sorry.” Mink whispered as she left. Summit and Mink embraced each other. Not knowing what would happen the next day. The End. For the next chapter: Peril!
