Heyyy, idiots! Today, I'm gonna talk about the first Lockwood & Co book (the Screaming Staircase) for way longer than I should be! I think this goes without saying, but I'll say it anyways. Spoilers for Screaming Staircase ahead. If you haven't read/finished it, I'd recommend clicking off this project. Now, I rant to you! Okay. I'm going to do this a bit backwards. Imma start from the ending and talk about other things later since that's the part I A. Have the most to say about B. Remember the best (not that I don't remember the rest of the book.) The ending. The story's climax. Very good ? This is one of the first things that proved Lockwood's personality to me. His recklessness is very strong, but so is his care for Lucy & George. I thought it was great that he stuck the salt bombs in the toilet tank. Genius. I mean, sorta. It's Lockwood, so the intelligence is limited. But still! Also, I freaking love the library scene. (Yes, we're moving from the ending.) The scene where Lucy goes into the library and talks to Lockwood in the beginning though, ahhhh <33333 My favorite scene in Screaming Staircase, 100% The biscuit rule. The MOST important part of Lockwood and Co as a whole is when they talk about the biscuit rule. It's said it's one of the most important rules to them in a later book (can't remember if it was Whispering Skull or Hollow Boy), meaning that is the part of Lockwood & Co you should never forget. You don't need to remember anything else. Just the biscuit rule. No, I don't have sanity left. Corgipaw knows how I lost it. This book is wonderful introduction to the series, universe, and characters. I think the writing & plot are great! Love it so much. There's the end of my rant about book one! Thanks for reading my silly little opinions! - Locky
