New Dark Future backstory: Basically, Megan resents the Defenders, and is like, a street rebel in the city streets. One of her arms had to be replaced with a mechanical variant, as well as one of her eyes (guys I promise she's not Vriska-). She lost the Hydeco Suit when she left the base, swearing to never return. (She hates the Defenders because Lucy got killed on a mission, or, something.)
