| Need an Opinion (or multiple) on something | So for about a week, I've been working on a project that will be a part of a series I hope to make, which I currently decide to call "Monotony of Disconnect." It is going to be a "show" of sorts, with animated episodes and a plotline with strict continuity. It was going to have slightly darker themes but still be well within the Scratch guidelines. HOWEVER, as I didn't want to use characters that were completely my own for this, and had a cool idea, the main characters of this series are Scratch cats (& various other things from the sprite library) A part of me is unsure if this is a good idea or not, given the slightly darker themes of the show & the fact that I am not exactly the best at guessing what is okay for 8 year olds. Writing this out, I'm starting to think my thoughts are a bit hyperbolic (exaggerated), but I'd still like to see some other people's opinions on the matter. More info on the series' story itself, in case that is important: Basic story synopsis thing: "Scratch cats are created to be sent out to new 'projects', although none truly know what those entail. Despite this, most end up missing after their first week. Outside of the factory and it's horrors lies a land untouched by the cruel practices but still plagued by evil. The series follows Undecided, a Scratch cat who managed to escape the conveyor to doom and gets tangled up in the various conflicts and schemes of another Scratch cat, Disembodied. Will Undecided be able to stop Disemboided and his plans before it is too late? Or will the evils of the world stifle the young cat before he has a chance?" Most of this is subject to change as I work on the story more, but I thought it might be needed.
again, this might just be me overthinking, but I'd still like to hear any thoughts about this. (EDIT 3/11/2024: Given that no one responded to this, and a bit more thinking on my behalf, I've decided to just go ahead and make the series.)
