Genevieve's Secret Chapter 8 It had been around a week and a half since my last traveling and I was glad for the break. I could just hang out with my friends and pretend I didn't have problems with a blonde boy who might try to do bad things to me. Anyway, I watched the clock as it struck twelve and then the whirling came. I had hoped it wouldn't, but it did and I found myself much smaller and unable to look around much because I was being held up into light. Suddenly, I heard a voice yell, "Naliya." The mysterious person who was holding me up let me down and into another person's arms. I immediately recognized her. She was Neytiri from the Avatar movies. Then, I heard another name being called. "Kiri." I wondered why we were both being called at the same ceremony. On the way back to their home, I fell asleep. "Come on Neteyam, let me go with you!" I complained. "No lil sis, you know you aren't supposed to come with on raids. Plus, we're just watching for ships," Neteyam said. "Ugh, I'm the same age as you. Lo'ak. Can you sneak me along?" I asked, turning to him. "I would, but Neteyam would tell Dad and I'd get in trouble, again," Lo'ak said. "You both are skxawngs," I said, sulking away. I sat in the corner of the tent until Kiri decided to interrupt my pouting. "They didn't let you tag along again?" Kiri asked, almost smugly. She had bet they wouldn't let me go after what happened last time. Last time, I had flown down, grabbed a gun, and shot the enemy ship. They went down, but killed a family of thanators. Jake, or Dad rather, had thereby banned me from going on missions again. I rolled my eyes at Kiri, "No need to remind me of the utter disappointment my brothers have given me," I said dramatically, the back of my hand on my forehead and throwing my head back. Kiri laughed at me. "Can we fly again Kiri?" Tuk asked, walking into the tent. "Sure, Tuk. Nali, are you coming?" Kiri asked me. As a nickname, they would call me Nali or Nal. "Sure," I responded. I got on my Ikran, Laylun, and headed out. I loved the feeling of flying it always cheered me up. I loved putting on a show for Tuk and Kiri. Kiri couldn't do the tricks with Tuk on her Ikran so she usually just watched. When we returned, we found out they still weren't back. This worried me a bit. We played some floor games and after a few minutes, they were back. Neteyam had gotten a scratch and Kiri and Grandmother, Mo'at, were tending to it. I watched as my twin and my grandma argued about whether they should use one thing or another to help Neteyam. I overheard Dad and Mom talking outside the tent about how Dad was a bit harsh on the boys. I decided to let them have their conversation in private and moved away from where I could hear them. I walked to my bed and lied down, then I fell asleep. “Come on Nal, wake up,” I heard someone say. I rolled over to avoid whoever it was. Then, they started shaking me. “Nali, wake up!” I heard another voice say. I opened my eyes and saw Kiri and Tuk over me. I sat up, “What is it?” I asked through a yawn. “We’re going to the forest,” Kiri said. “Who?” I asked. “Me, you, Tuk, Lo’ak, and Spider,” Kiri said. I got up. I had a bad feeling about it, I don’t know why, I just did. “Okay…” I said, hesitantly. “What’s wrong?” Kiri asked, hearing the worry in my voice. “I just have a really bad feeling about this,” I said. “Why?” Tuk asked. “I don’t know why,” I said. We went to the forest by the abandoned ship Dad was once in. Tuk was slowing us down a little though. Almost on cue as to what I was thinking, Lo’ak complained about how slow she was being. “Bro, why’d you bring her anyway?” Spider asked. “She’s all like, ‘I’ll tell Mom if you don’t let me come.’” Lo’ak said. Tuk stuck her tongue out at him. We continued. Kiri went off by herself and the boys got tired of Tuk slowing them down, so I stayed with her. A few minutes later, Lo’ak came running towards us. “Guys, come on, you have to see this,” Lo’ak said. Me and Tuk ran with him to a large footstep. “What is it?” Tuk asked. “I don’t know, but it definitely isn’t a humans,” Lo’ak said. “An Avatar’s?” someone asked. “Maybe, but definitely not one of ours,” Lo’ak said. I felt dazed. I finally remembered why we shouldn’t have come here. Fourteen years can really make you forget a movie. “Nali? What’s wrong?” asked Kiri. “We have to get out of here, now,” I said. “Why?” Tuk asked. “Just trust me,” I said. “Sis, you’re just scared. Nothing’s going to happen,” Lo’ak said. “Please,” I pleaded. Kiri and Tuk looked at me with worried faces, but Lo’ak and Spider just said I was scared and continued. I followed them in exasperation of their not listening to me. I told Kiri and Tuk to go get Mom and Dad while Lo’ak and Spider weren’t looking.
I walked with them, grasping my knife. Bing Image Creator Next: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/979993556/ Previous: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/977239557/ First: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/973751206/
