Today marks 5 years of me on Scratch and I can’t believe it. It feels like it was only yesterday when some kid came into my class in school, showing us a ping pong game he made on Scratch. I went home and built up the courage to ask my Mam for Scratch (i wasn’t allowed social media) and I was immediately hooked. Would’ve been around May 2019 when my parents found out Scratch was an online game and that I was having “chats” with people. Long story short I wasn’t allowed on scratch anymore but when COVID-19 hit and I was stuck at home doing my online school, Scratch floated into my head and I logged back in. To my surprise, most of my friends were still active and we caught up. I still remember the trend at the time, it was “___ in a nutshell.” April-July 2020 was peak Scratch and I’m so grateful that I got that experience. I know that Scratch paid s big role as I’m beginning to enter my adolescent years, and honestly, without sounding all soppy, Scratch has definitely shaped me into who I am today. The amount of things I’ve learned on this website is phenomenal. There’s moments in here that my IRL friends and I still talk about to this day, the amount of drama we were involved in is hilarious. Although we’re not really friends anymore, I’d like to give a special thanks to @henrystar6, @robotrobot6, @mouselove99, @himynameisbobyay and @AKA_Kellboy. I’d wake Im during summer 2020, go on Scratch when I was supposed to be doing my schoolwork and talk to them. I’d go outside from 12:00-23:00 and talk to @henrystar6 and @robotrobot6 for hours, playing online games, making chat studios etc. It was my friends @ducksamari who was originally friends with @AKA_Kellboy, I wished duck happy birthday and Kellboy said that I have a great sense of colour. He was very knowledgeable and loved pineapples. Thank you and Scratch on!
