@cursively ♡ ★ ⋮ ̶f̶o̶u̶r̶ ̶w̶o̶r̶d̶s̶ once upon a time . . . . ୧ , chapter — three today was different. today, when yuying was in the hallways, she passed fifty-two students on the way to her locker instead of the usual fifty. she saw two people duck into an empty classroom. since school had ended, there was no reason for anyone to stay. yuying cursed herself. she was getting curious again. curiosity was an emotion, and emotions were bad. but she wanted to know. so she grabbed her backpack, and walked back in the direction of the classroom she had seen them go into. nobody would follow her. nobody else had curiosity. at first, all she saw was darkness. then she heard someone breathing. "somebody is in here," she said, in the most monotone voice she could. no questions- after all, it could be a staff member, and questions represented curiosity. "who's there?" a question. "i am a student," yuying said. there was silence. yuying was afraid that they had somehow gotten away, even though there was no way they could have done so without her hearing. and then, she felt a cold hand on her wrist. she almost flinched, but caught herself. no emotions. the hand led her forward. she took one, two, three, four, five steps before her foot met thin air. she tried to step back, but she was already falling. down, down, down.
