The island jelly is a colonial organism that uses helium and air to keep a small amount of land floating. The island jelly gains nutrients from decaying plant life and other microorganisms it can catch using its tentacles, it absorbs light elements to keep it floating, and filters out waste from its tentacles when consuming nutrients, the island jelly starts its life as a filter feeding larve, which then becomes a larger filter feeding jellyfish looking thing that floats on top of the water, if it thrives for many years it will eventually gather sand and debris from which a small island will form. The island jellys size varies alot, but is usually smaller, though some organisms grow to become very massive. Only few of the island jellys can actually support an island though.
