today is march 9th, 2024. i think we know what that means. today is the day that matpat officially leaves youtube. they had a livestream and everything, and it was absolutely wholesome. heck, even the weather is sad, its starting to rain in my area. to me, matpat is someone i looked up to, i thought he was really smart. he came up with so many amazing theorys and had the best evidence to back it up. when i first heard matpat was going to leave, i was shocked, and i checked out the video. it was wholesome, and even i cried. matpat was my hero, and i wish for the best for him and his family. i hope he knows that everyone that watched him, all his followers, his family, his friends, they all loved him and still love him. matpat was a huge part of the youtube community, to the point where i would say he was like a father for some people. we'll miss him, and we will always miss him. but, the amount of hate he got when he made theories made me disappointed, he put his love and hard work into making these theories, but he still got massive amounts of hate. its just sad, truly. but, we should understand that matpat wants to spend more time with his family, and that youtube was a great experience for him. he doesn't hate youtube, in fact he loved it ! but we should understand and respect the fact that matpat wants to spend his time with his family. but of course, that doesn't mean he's gone forever. he'll still show up in special events. goodbye matpat, we'll see you again sometime in the future. may you rest easy with your family, you will be missed in the youtube community.
