This is just a demonstration of how European flags changed in the 20th century. Click the white background, the year, or the arrow keys to advance to the next year. I’m planning to make more of these for each continent. In order, I will do Asia, Australia, Africa, North America, and then South America. And yes, it will all start in the 20th century. Spring break ends on the 19th, so I might put this series of history of flags on break because of school. Here’s how to do it: 1. Duplicate a random country, or make a new sprite and paste the other countries’ codes onto yours. 2. If you duplicated, delete all of the costumes but keep the first one. This helps the code stay stable. 3. Make your country’s flag history, by adding the first year the flag was used, a hyphen, and then the last year it was used. Only 4-digit numbers can be used, otherwise the code won’t work. 4. Set coordinates of empty space for the country to take. You’re all set! #flags
Source from Wikipedia’s “Timeline of national flags” page. Countries chosen from flagpedia.net’s list of European countries, excluding Isle of Man and Svalbard due to not showing up on the wiki page. Inspired by Forceman Big World (on YouTube) As of March 2024 Credits to everyone who had vectors! If I couldn’t find any flags, I just left a bitmap. (some of my family members have seen this in person so thank y’all!)
