Ashton: The bell rings. I push my chair back and grab my books, lingering at my desk so I can avoid going into the crowded hallway and getting stressed out. I finally get up, and walk rather quickly out the door... but run into someone. "S-sorry." The boy mumbles. It's the new kid. I smile, but can't reply, since everything I can use is in my backpack, and I'm holding my binder, so my hands aren't free. "You're Ashton." He says. "Right?" I nod, confused, "Mr. Maize told me about you. You're mute." Oh great, here comes the rude remarks and interrogating questions. But I'm surprised. "That's cool." He smiles slightly. "I'm actually going deaf if that makes you feel better." Ah. Now I can see the hearing aids in his ears. Funny how you don't notice something until it's pointed out. Colin: He's staring at me weirdly. "Oh! I'm so stupid!" I facepalm, then grab my phone out of my pocket, and switch it with his binder. "Put your number in there. Just so if you ever wanna text or something, I know who it is." He nods and quickly types something in, then hands my phone back. *Thank you.* He signs quickly, before rushing away. Welp... that was interesting. And I still have his binder. Guess that's an excuse to talk to him again.
