"Look, Mom, it's snowing!" Cloverkit exclaimed, her eyes wide with excitement. "Really? Let me see," Ivycrest replied, turning her attention outside. "Wow, it is snowing! It's beautiful." Cloverkit looked up at her mother with pleading eyes. "Can I go out, pretty please?" she asked. Ivycrest hesitated for a moment before responding, "Okay, but be careful and don't go down to the creek, okay?" "Yippee! Thanks, Mom!" Cloverkit shouted as she ran out the den. "Wait, just remember, no creek," Ivycrest reminded her daughter. As Cloverkit ran out, she met her friend Seedpaw. "Hi, Cloverkit," Seedpaw greeted her. "Hey, Seedpaw," she replied. "Want to go down to the creek?" Seedpaw asked. Cloverkit hesitated, "I don't think we should. My mom said not to." "Oh, come on. Are you scared?" Seedpaw teased. "No, it's just..." Cloverkit trailed off. "Then let's go!" Seedpaw exclaimed, already running towards the creek. Cloverkit followed him, her heart racing with excitement. As they reached the creek, they saw that it was covered with a thin sheet of ice. Seedpaw quickly jumped onto the ice and started sliding around. "This is amazing!" he shouted. "Come on, Cloverkit!" Cloverkit hesitated for a moment before jumping onto the ice as well. She slipped and fell, hurting her knee. "Ow," she cried out. Suddenly, she noticed two shining eyes in the nearby bushes. "Seedpaw, do you see that?" Cloverkit asked, feeling uneasy. "See what?" Seedpaw replied, confused. Suddenly, a cat leaped out of the bushes and pinned Cloverkit on the ice. "I will finish what I started," the cat hissed. Seedpaw tried to attack the cat, but he got severely injured. "Seedpaw, no!" Cloverkit cried out, tears streaming down her face. "Your turn next," the cat said, turning his attention back to Cloverkit. But before the cat could do anything, he was tackled and pinned down by a mysterious figure. Cloverkit was thrown off the creek and landed safely on the ground, realizing that the figure was her mom. "Mom!" she shouted, relieved to see her mother slowly getting up. But as she looked back, she saw that the thin sheet of ice was cracking and breaking apart. "Run!" Cloverkit screamed as she watched the ice crack. Ivycrest just smiled as the ice gave way, taking her, the cat, and Seedpaw with it. END
