What even WAS Small Radios, Big Televisions? Well, it was a game developed by solo dev Owen Deery, and this was his debut title for Fire Face, his studio. The game was published by [AS] Games, (adult swim games) and received little-to-no fanfare. It was a highly experimental point and click game, where you, the player "Explore the inner workings of deserted factories in search of data cassettes that contain boundless virtual worlds." (from the steam page)
You're listening to the soundtrack right now. Now, before we move onto the tragedy of this game, I just want to set the groundwork. Adult Swim Games is owned by Adult Swim, (obviously) who are owned by Warner Bros. Discovery (See where this is going yet?) MODERN DAY: David Zaslav. You've heard what he's done. Now, his latest atrocity to the medium of art is... Delisting ALL the Adult Swim Games. Now, this act hasn't been performed yet, but is currently being planned. The developer, Owen Deery was contacted by Warner, was told that the company is pulling the game from digital storefronts, citing "internal business changes." Owen suggested that they transfer ownership of the game to Fire Face, his company, as it would only take 3 clicks on Steam. Warner denied. In retaliation, Owen put the game up as free to install on his website. I can't link it or else I'll get banned, but a quick google search should allow you to find it. Play this game. #firedavidzaslav
