The pale blue sky clashes against my dark skinned best friend, making her dark blue eyes look like pools of deep ocean water in the pale, endless waves of the sea. The perfectly fluffy white clouds float around her head. She shifts her eyes to meet mine, smile pulling on her lips. "Val?" Her voice comes out in a breathy whisper, drastically different then my low, scratchy voice. "Yeah?" I say, snapping out of my dreamlike gaze. "We need to be heading home." She says, soft voice becoming stronger. She gently takes my hand and squeezes it, her mouth curving into a sweet smile. Her smile. No. Nononono. Not this dream. Not again. I try to play it cool, smiling and holding her hand tighter. My mind spirals, but I can only watch as the screen replays for the hundredth time, watch as she give me one more smile. Then the sound of a train goes by. I squeeze my eyes shut, tears slipping out and tracking lines down the powder on my face, making thick black lines of mascara. I sob, hearing the siren and train sounds around me. I can only drop to my feet, reliving the painful memory once more.
