___________________________________________ HOW TO PLAY: ~ To start, spam flag 10 times with volume on max ~ Press any key to jump ~ Avoid obstacles (the people) and try to gain coins (the lightning bolts) ~ It gets faster over time, so be careful! ~ You get 3 lives to collect the highest score you can My best is 348, try to beat that! Good luck! I hope you enjoy! ___________________________________________
KNOWN GLITCHES: ~ Occasionally, Scratch will for some reason think you're holding down "t". Since you can press any button to jump, it'll cause you to constantly jump. To fix this, just press "t" once. ~ The clouds will occasionally lag and jump to a different position, but it's just a visual glitch, and it shouldn't affect the gameplay. ~ Sometimes, the lightning coin or Bakugo (flying obstacle) will despawn before you hit it, causing you to either not lose a life when you jump into it (if it's Bakugo), or not gain an extra score (if it's the coin). ~ Let me know about any other glitches while you play! Q&A: ~ Why did I make this game? This game was made for my STEM class, where we're learning about how to integrate physical aspects into coding. In my case, I'll be using a MakeyMakey to connect some cardboard pads to the buttons. This way, instead of pressing keys, you jump up and down, just like in the game. ~What are the strange, derpy characters? I've recently been reading a manga/anime called My Hero Academia. It's surprisingly good, and I can't stop reading it. So, when I was making this project and looking for inspiration, I thought, "Hey, why not use some of my favorite characters in this?" My personal favorites are Denki Kaminari (AKA calamari) and Eijiro Kirishima (AKA spiky boi), so I made sure to include them in this. If you haven't read the manga (or watched the anime), definitely go do that! It's quite well done, and always makes me laugh. *NOTE: This was not sponsored, I just think it's good* ~How long did it take you to make this? I didn't spend too much time on the actual coding, but I did spend an hour or two trying to get the drawings right, believe it or not. Somehow drawing stupid things is harder than drawing something actually cool and detailed, like my lich (recently released that game, go check it out!) With the physical coding side of things, I didn't actually do (almost) any of that! I had a ton of help with the sensors and cardboard pads from my friend, . He just joined Scratch, but is quite good at coding, so go check him out (if he has any projects yet). ~Is there a point to reading all the way down here? ~Where's the secret at the very bottom after you scroll for hours? Actually, there's no secret, you scrolled all the way down here comment banana for nothing. Filler words, talking about stuff, random things... if you're actually reading this, stop, because you already found the thing. This is just to make people scroll past the thing. Thanks for playing the game! a couple of final credits - everything is by me (art, code, all that) except for the music, which is sans from undertale, by Toby Fox told u, no secret zero secret nothing why are you scrolling so much THERE'S NOTHING HERE, go away! read back up >:) also tags time lol
