cₕₐₚₜₑᵣ ₅ The white figure's voice is stunningly calm and her- I mean- their eyes are pale blue. "My name is Glaciele," they say coolly. The words that come out from their mouth casts an icy aura around the three of us- maybe it was the stick with the crystal ball, maybe it is their cold gaze or maybe it is an illusion. A soundllusion. "My name's Asher!" Asher steps out cheerfully and attempts to break the ice. Fail. Probably because Glaciele is ice. Glaciele nods towards the electric life-sucking danger behind us. Finally. My companions notice. "What marshmallows?!" Asher exclaims. MASSIVE FREAKING PEA-BRAIN. Glaciele waves their staff at the hazardous tree. "AAAAAAAAAAAAGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Asher screeches. "Bad luck, Asher," I sigh. Then I turn tail and shoot off like a bolt of lightning, turning invisible in the process. "Hey!!!!!! Eclypse!!!!! Wait up!" Crescent and Asher scream. They run after me. Glaciele walks after us slowly, like they doesn't care about the monster behind. Then they whip around, eyes glowing yellow, and unleashes a blizzard from their staff. Whoa. Just. WHOA. What on earth. "Glaciele? Just, HOW did you do that?" Asher asks, awe all over his face messily. Glaciele remains silent and collected. "It's a secret. And if you want to survive in this world you have to learn how to keep them," ━━━⊱⋆⊰━━━ At night, I find myself standing on the edge of a cliff. Down is a forest outlined with red, teeming with shadows. Above my head, I can see a safe haven glimmering with starlight, echoing with cries of happiness. I cam hear moaning sounds from below the cliff and look down with my bright silver eyes. Wait- my eyes weren't silver... what's going on? I look at my paws. My blue fur disappears and is being replaced with a bright silver-and-blue pelt streaked with intertwining ginger, gold and black. cₕₐₚₜₑᵣ ₆ "What is happening?" I scream to the sky. "Why have you brought me here? Why am I here? Where is Asher and Crescent and Glaciele? And, WHY IS MY LIFE LIKE THIS?" No reply. I see a ball of lightning and shadow crackling with energy and the dream cuts to a black night sky. The moon shines its light through the clouds. I realise what I am. The path between the shadow and the moon. "I... I need to-" I don't have another second before the vision fades into the holy cloud of nothingness. ━━━⊱⋆⊰━━━ "Glaciele? Will she be all right?" I blink my eyes open. Crescent's standing over me, her blue eyes stretched wide. I pull myself away. "Of course I am!" I snap. Beside her, Glaciele keeps their gaze seady, unruffled. "You slept till the evening of the second day. And your breathing was shallow. I couldn't even hear your heartbeat clearly." Asher fills me in about what happened, his face dark with worry. "But I'm fine now." I protest. Glaciele speaks. "Asher. Its just the Interdimensional Scream." Bro like whaaaaaaat????? "How do you know?" Crescent asks curiously. Glaciele, though they're as old as us, their brain's a thousand years old. "The Interdimensional Scream is a curse that allows the victim to see through other's perspective, through time and through galaxies. However, the curse will fade with time, and when that moment comes, the victim will die a long, slow, painful death. It might be the only way to stop the tree we've been seeing, but Eclypse will have to make the ultimate sacrifice. One that will shatter her life, her friends, her spirit itself..." ━━⊱⋆⊰━━ Asher dashes ahead of us like a speeding train. "Hey! Look at this!" he yells excitedly. I bolt across the forest foliage and curiously eye him. He points to a cave, where we can clearly see that it's the "base" of the shadow tree.
