DTAE yippee I haven't done these in ages :D First off, congrats on 1k, what a big number *cries* Idk if I even have time to do another entry because I'm waaaaaaaaaay too close to the due date, pray for me Hope you like the art and like my version of Venus :> Name: Venus | Known as Purity Pronouns: She/her Immortal goddess of love Backstory: Purity gives love to everyone. She gives everyone the ability to experience love. And she loves everyone back equality. But she will never find true love for herself. Purity is a highly esteemed goddess whose duty is to give people the feeling of true love and marriage. Counterwise, she can’t ever experience true love, or it may affect her duty as a goddess. She never saw it as a problem though. Her endless millennial reign of being the goddess of love taught her how petty true love was to her. She had given her love to many, and they had given it to their true love only for that love to dwindle and warp and form hatred. It was common for mere mortals to waste her love on others who didn’t seem to care but she watched. It was rather amusing. She was invited to a party, which wasn’t surprising. Most gods and goddesses always wished for her to attend their parties so Purity could simply sprinkle some love on them and cause them to do things. But Purity never attended because it left her feeling furious. Why would she willingly give them her love just so because they wanted to “fall in love” for a day? What selfish thinking. This time she came, only because of curiosity. Everyone welcomed her with open arms. But she brushed past them in irritation. She hated fake affection and she of all people would know how to sense fake affection. She stood in a corner and watched as all the immortals had fun filling themselves with love. But it wasn’t her love. It was a warped version of her previous shed of love. She felt a soft nudge on her shoulder. A god stood behind her. Not the popular ones she knew. Merely infamous. But he looked at her gently, with soft moving eyes. Love. She could feel it in everything about him. He seemed to not know who she was, and it wasn’t the first. Young gods never seemed to know who she was because of the constant confinement she put on herself. He sat down beside her, and they started a simple conversation. He was very easy to talk to. Good listener. But she could tell he loved her. From the softness of his eyes to the gentleness in his talking. Almost excluding himself from the world. But truth be told she didn’t love him. It's not like she hated him. She could never feel hatred. It was just impossible for her to feel true love. And even if she tried it wouldn’t be possible. It was her fate. She kindly thanked him and got up, heading out of the party. He ran after her in confusion. Purity told him she couldn’t love him, and she didn’t want to hurt his feelings. He looked hurt for a second but then smiled and nuzzled her. This was the greatest affection Purity had ever felt in her whole immortal life. He loved her. She felt truly loved. And it felt great. Then he was gone. She knew she would see him again though. He was a great god who loved her… even though she could never truly love him back.
