This is Whistle! Hope you like him :D + Whistle + ~ Name and pronouns Whistle was named after his unusually high pitched way of communicating. His species communicates with an alphabet of clicks and chirps. His voice is so high most strain to hear it. He relays very heavily on echolocation as he sight isn’t as good as it should be. Whistle has used he / him pronouns from birth. ~ Physical description Whistle is a funny creature he has three tails which glow at the tips and a long frill running down his head and neck. His sleek and slippery skin is made up of gorgeous blues, purples and greens. His eyes are light turquoise, leaning on green. ~ Personality Whistle is a very quiet individual who often finds him self alone. Though in the beginning it wasn’t on purpose he’s now grown to flourish when he’s by himself. Whistle is very awkward around others as he’s self conscious of his unique voice. ~ Backstory Whistle was born to a beautiful Cetadae named Cadence. She was beloved by everyone for her looks and high ranking in their pod. When she gave birth to Whistle, Cadence was over joyed. The new mother payed no mind to her baby’s shrill chirps or multiple tails. To her he was ordinary. No, he was magnificent. Cadence poured her soul into Whistle, she ignored anything others said about him and grew to be quite overprotective. Cadence shielded Whistle from the world, hiding him from anyone who thought poorly of Whistle. After years of being shielded from the world Whistle’s time in the pod soon ended. To the great despair of a Cadence a new male had reached their pod and she knew if Whistle wasn’t gone in time he’d likely be killed… Whistle now roams the ocean, alone and scared, missing his mother more then anything. ~ More about Cetadae -Cetadae live in pods of 10-20. They consist of all females and young males. Males travel on their own after leaving their pod. And if lucky will join a flush. Flushes consist of 50-100 males who have just left their pod or are too old to breed. Males in the flush not be ready to breed otherwise they will be fought off. In a flush males may train and learn to one day fight for a female to mate with. If a male is rejected from a flush he must travel on his own until he feels ready to attempt to mate. -Cetadae have musical names! Their species is very devoted to language and their’s is considered very beautiful. -When mating Cetadae both find a large cave and stay there for a week or so before they part ways. There is usually no romance involved in mating and it is very rare for Cetadae to mate long term/bond. The only common bonding is mother child. Long term mating only happens if there are two elderly Cetadae who wish to live on their own, away from pods and flushes. ~Thanks for reading all this! XD I really love this species and if anyone wants me to expand on it I’d be happy to! Hopefully you guys enjoyed! :)
