"What do you mean you don't fight? You look so tough!" "It's just the way I am. Sorry, Scar." "It's okay. You'll make a great lookout!" Scar's Story Scar grew up on the streets of a large city; alone. They quickly learned that other cats weren't going to give him what he needed, or take them in as their own, so they quickly learned to steal. As they grew older they got more courageous, stealing a touch more than he needed to survive. On one fateful day he tried to steal more than they could handle. As they reached for the bengal's pocket; hoping to snatch a few loose coins, the cat turned around. The bengal hissed at the frail kitten, before lunging at them; biting and clawing. Scar ran away; a decision he'd learn to regret, truly forgetting the frightful little kitten they used to be. The bengal cat reported Scar to the police; calling him "The Scarred Kitten," as Scar hadn't had a name up to that point. Scar became a nickname for them, after the posters hung up around the city, warning of his arrest. Scar grew up to be one of the best thieves that city had ever seen; they swear one day to find that begal cat, who'd hurt them, and turned them away, and show them who- and what he'd become, making them feel as he did on that day. Danger's Story Smokey grew up in the same city. He was the son of a fairly rich family. Growing up, many other cats wanted nothing to do with him, they were either frightened of the large maine coon, or judged him; thinking that he'd be spoiled and mean, and when they didn't avoid him, they bullied him for his overbite. Smokey's parent's were often out on business trips or meetings, as they owned their own company, meaning they never got really close to Smokey. Smokey felt primarily alone; with no one to tell his struggles to, or talk about how excited he was because he passed a test, or talk about his hobbies with, or even have a normal conversation with. While out buying food, he stumbled across Scar. He wasn't sure of the cat, and carried on with his shopping. Scar took an immediate interest in Smokey. Smokey was a large, scary maine coon, and would be a great lookout, or even defense when they were stealing. Scar walked up to Smokey and started a conversation. Being alone for so long made Smokey a very talkative cat. He took an instant liking to Scar, not knowing their plan for him. Smokey met with Scar any chance he could; feeling as though the cat empathized with his struggles, and shared his hobbies. Smokey eventually decided to run away with his only friend, and leave his struggles behind, not knowing this life would be a lot more dangerous. Before they left, Scar told Smokey that his name wouldn't work out on the streets, and told him that it had to be more threatening. Smokey reluctantly agreed to the name change, after thinking up a few name suggestions, Smokey eventually decided to be renamed to Danger. Danger and Scar's life Danger isn't the toughest cat, nor the smartest cat, much to Scar's annoyance. Danger may have looked frightening, but he was really a huge softy, who loved food and ornithology. Scar didn't give up on him though; by the time they found all this out he had actually started to like the goofy cat. Danger made a good lookout, and at least was comfortable acting threatening, even being okay with self-defense when necessary. Scar was skilled at lock-picking, theft, and strategy. He's not a tough cat though, he doesn't have much fur to protect them, and isn't powerful enough to deal much damage. Together, Danger has learned about companionship, and what the world has to offer; the good and the bad. Scar has learned that not all cats are bad, and that having someone other than yourself is actually kinda nice sometimes. That bengal is going to be having a tough time trying deal with these two. Design changes - Danger is now a really fluffy, classic tabby, maine coon cat. He is larger than the average cat, and has an underbite. - Scar is a slim moggie with partial mackerel tabby markings (mainly on his head, tail, and legs). - Both have kept their coloration mostly the same and have kept their eye colors. - Both of them had darker patches on their heads that I interpreted as tabby markings. Note Hello! Thanks for reading through all that! This took a long time to animate, and took a long time to rearrange the frames, as it didn't get imported into Scratch properly. I understand that I have changed the characters quite a bit and that I may have changed them too much. If this is the case I understand that I may be disqualified. I hope you enjoy the animation, story, and art, but that's it for now! I hope you have a great day, see you later!
Thank you to @Anita_the_Coder! Without them making the original DTA I would've never made this. All designs belong to them! All art (Thumbnail + Animation) was made by me.
