This is an art trade—when two people draw something for one another. This is for @cocobaenn! I’ve included an art process to make it interactive. Space to zoom, and press the right arrow or click for next step in the process! Fullscreen might be best to see the details. ============ ↓ Art process below ↓ ============ 1: finished drawing 2: sketch 3: lineart (g pen and custom pen) 4: base colors 5: started shading on the hair (opaque watercolor, mechanical pencil, realistic watercolor) 6: shading on the body with the same brushes 7: added texture and more lighting (used hatch marks and tone layer set to lines) 8: background base colors 9: background shading (opaque watercolor, dense watercolor, airbrush) 10: orange color overlay, texture overlay with watercolor, lighting with glow dodge blend mode (airbrush, mechanical pencil), did shading on a multiply layer (airbrush and g pen) 11: saved an image of the drawing, imported it on top of the drawing, set it to a gradient map of indigo, lowered transparency, and erased parts over the main image 12: finished drawing! I saved the image again and reimported it to add chromatic aberration and make some adjustments to the face. Also added more lighting with airbrush Notes for @cocobaenn , the recipient of this trade: I gave the character a game controller and added Legend of Zelda music because you said you liked those things :) I might have deviated a little from the initial design because I had the reference’s opacity turned down so I thought the character was wearing a hoodie and by the time I noticed, it was too late to fix it :’) Hopefully you like it! :D Brushes Used: Opaque Watercolor, G Pen, Airbrush, Mechanical Pencil, Realistic Watercolor, Custom Brushes (Textured pen)
