Hello! this is my entry: Lilah's first bee sting. Holding her baby brother. Hospital accident. Her grandmother's funeral. Memories that hadn't been on her mind for forever suddenly pounded back, with a certain anger, as if being mad for being ignored. Writhing in bed, Lilah screamed out unknowingly. Stepping on a cockroach. A fight with her brother at ages 8 and 10. 5th grade graduation. Her first D+ grade. Receiving terrible feedback on her academic progress. Her first disgusting kiss. Her first school dance. Losing her parents at the airport. They bounced around her brain, shoving each other out of the way, bargaining her attention. Until it stopped. Relief, at last. Lilah blinked her eyes, who were straining against a blinding green light situated in the corner of the room. Hold up-green? She blinked again, but the whole world was still a blurry green. If she squinted hard enough, Lilah could make out some other glass tubes situated around the wide room, with blobs inside. She tried to walk, but all she could manage was a ‘swim’, like she was floating in liquid water. As she approached this glass in front of her, she realized that, her too, was in a tube. Lilah started to scream and scream when she noticed animal parts connected to the other humans. Her screams died the minute they traversed the glass, muffled by the layer between the room and her. They were hybrids, she stated. But-does that mean she was one too?? Nervously glancing around, she spied bird claws as feet and tentacles sprouting from her back. And there she went again, screaming her head off and desperately banging against the glass. How was she still alive? What happened to her parents? Her brother? Her house? Her school? HER ENTIRE LIFE??? Was she even supposed to be alive? Were these other people alive? Lilah's memory was blank when it came to being ‘kidnapped’ for this freaky experiment. Her last thought was getting home from school, shutting herself in her room, and starting on her 8th grade graduation project. The rest was blank. Nothing. Nada! MEHEHEEH CLIFF HANGERRR!!! *＊✿❀ ❀✿＊*
