"Hermione! Hermes! You got mail!" Hermes could hear his mum call up the stairs. //Oh, mail, I never get mail!// "Coming mum!" Hermione shouted, running down the hall past Hermes' door. Hermes put down the toy soldiers he was setting up, and followed her downstairs. "The letters are on the dining room table," his mum said while she sat on the couch watching the news. Hermione had got there first and was already tearing her's open. Hermes grabbed his letter and examined it. There was a red stamp to close the envelope, it had an H on it. He too, tore it open. At the top had a crest, with a lion, serpent, eagle, and badger on it. It said beneath it Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. He pulled out a letter that read: Dear Mr. Hermes Granger, We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find an enclosed list of all necessary books and equipment. Note that no first year is allowed a broom. You may bring a pet with you, that includes either, an owl, cat, toad or rat. Term begins September 1, we await your owl no later than July 31. Yours sincerely, Minerva McGonagall Deputy Headmistress "Mum, is this a joke?" Hermes asked after looking over the list of necessary items. "No, honey. Why do you ask?" She got up from the couch to have a look. Hermes' mum took the letter from him. She gasped. "You two can do magic! Why that explains the weird things you could do!" She seemed to be ecstatic. "Mum, one question, how are we going to get this stuff? And how are we going to get to school?" Hermione asked standing next to Hermes. "Well, surely the letter says something?" She reread Hermes' letter. "Ah, here it says to go to King's Cross station, and then go to platform 9 3/4," Hermes' mum said. "Ah, platform 9 3/4. That's not a platform, Mum," Hermes reasoned. "You two are a witch and a wizard, what do you think you have to do? Use magic." She said plainly. "Yes, but we don't know how that's why we're going to school." Hermione snapped. "Don't talk back to me. When your father comes home I'll tell him you two were accepted. Until then the two of you will go to your rooms 'til dinner." Their mum ushered the two upstairs. So they went without arguing. "We're going to a magic school! Aren't you excited?" Hermione asked Hermes on their way up the stairs to their rooms. "I suppose, perhaps they have some good books to read, some I haven't read yet," Hermes said. "I hope so too. Anyway we'll be going on the first of September." Hermione said, turning to go to her room. Hermes went to his own room back to his army men. He kept setting them up, and wrote down the battle plans. Hermes was a wizard.
