The further it got in the day, the more I wanted it to be over. It was the first day, and I was already drowning in homework. I was relieved when it was finally over. I met Gunner and her sister over by the lake. "Hi." Gunner said. "Hi." I sat down next to him. "Sorry I was late. I got lost, again." He laughed. "It's fine. Oh, I invited some more friends to come hang out with us, is that okay?" I nodded. "I invited somebody too." "Oh cool. Who?" "Neville Longbottom." A girl behind him gasped. I had totally forgotten his sister was there. "But, aren't you a Lestrange?" "What?" I felt my face go hot, and my eyes threatening tears. "Yeah. My mother...My mother is Bellatrix." We all went silent.I would have liked it better if they were yelling. "I'm sorry. I can go-" "No." He said. "You shouldn't be judged on who your parents are, but on who you are." I grabbed my necklace. "Thanks." He smiled. "Of course." "ARE YOU KIDDING ME?" His sister stood up. "YOU ARE REALLY GOING TO KEEP HANGING OUT WITH HER?" "Alice-" "NO!" She walked off. I sat there, feeling tears run down my face. "I'm sorry." He said. "She normally doesn't act that way. I don't know why she is now." "It's...It's okay." "No it's not." "Yeah it is. I get it." He directed his gaze to the lake. I laid down and looked at the clouds. "Could I ask you one favor?" "Of course." "Don't tell anybody." "Tell anybody, what?' "That I'm her daughter." he didn't respond at first. I think he was thinking. "Please?" I looked over at him. He nodded. "Sure, if you make me deal." I sat up. "Yeah?" "I won't tell if you promise not to hide yourself forever." "What do you mean?" "I mean I wont tell if you will." I laid back down. "Someday." "Good." "Gunner?" "Yeah?" "Thank you."
