I like rap music. A lot. sometimes i’ll listen to other genres, which is basically anything with a good bassline and a good beat…… By rap music i mainly mean kendrick lamar (real not fake) because of his insane lyricism and production quality. Same for 90’s rap. I really miss the fact that there were like rap groups and stuff cus those are really fun to listen to and really hit different than the collaborations we get now. So about kendrick laminar………… he’s literally me in real life. The way that all his songs connect are ingenious. Let’s take an example from FEAR. one of the strongest tracks on DAMN. The “hook” goes, “if i could smoke fear away i’d roll that mo#####er up…. and then i’d take two puffs.” the two puffs representing the theme of a duality between wickedness and weakness as presented in the first track, BLOOD….. “Is it wickedness….. Is it weakness…”
