HOW I DID: I had this curiosity about the origins of the Scratch website, and while exploring it, I stumbled upon old projects that existed before the well-known Project 104. I found these projects to be intriguing because they weren't published like regular ones; instead, they were available for download. Confused about these pre-Project 104 projects, I decided to seek clarification by posting a question in the forum. To my rescue came a user named CST1229, who provided valuable information. According to CST1229, Scratch 1.0 was released on January 8, 2007, allowing the public to share projects through the forum. The official project sharing site became live in March, with May 15, 2007, considered the official start date when it was announced to the general public. Additionally, CST1229 mentioned an alpha version of the 1.x project that was shared on the alpha.scratchr.org website, containing the IDs of projects 1-103. The user speculated that the IDs were not reset when the old Scratch website was terminated, resulting in the numbering starting at 104. Intrigued by this information, I downloaded one of the projects with ID 1, named "Lil Devil And Angel" by a user named It marked one of the first projects shared on the platform, providing a glimpse into the early days of Scratch and its community's collaborative creative endeavors.
