Chapter 1 - Kara Lilly, lying down. Heard noises, sounds like swooshing and swashing. Splash! There was a sound of water dropping, Lilly was scared. Frightened a little. She opened her eyes, turning her head to see her bedside table. Then reaching for her phone, half asleep… She saw floating water. Surprised, she jumps out of bed, leaping across the room! *Rubbing her eyes* It’s no longer there… It’s back in the cup. *Sigh* “it must of been me dreaming, half awake” She gets dressed and heads down stairs, dragging her feet. Thump, thump, thump. “Dinners ready!!” someone calls. Not knowing who is calling her down, Lilly yells “Okay Mum!!” She had never heard this voice before but it sounded like a female. Reaching the bottom of the stairs, a strange person standing there. The person says “I’m not your Mum! I’m your grandma!” “Sorry!! I have never seen you before” and introduces herself to the person. She finds out that the Women’s name is Kara. She eats her pancakes for breakfast. “Thanks, this is delicious!” but curious she wonders. I just introduced myself to someone who claims to be my grandma, but where is my Mum? And she never told me I had 2 grandma’s! Quickly remembering that she has school today, runs up to her room and gets dressed while yelling “I’m late for school!!” Crash! She slams the front door and gets on the bus to school. Chapter 2 - School Lilly doesn’t have a lesson today, she forgets. Where is everyone she is wondering. Suddenly a thought pops into her mind, the carnival. A swimming race! She runs to the other side of the school, where the pool is. Everyone is in their swimsuit, she runs to the nearest toilets and gets changed into the spare swimsuits. After running back to the pools as fast as she can, she slips. Sliding across the floor, splash! She falls in. But suddenly wherever her hands are, the water moves away. Her hands under the water. Its like a forcefield. Quickly lifting her hands out, not knowing that her hands aren't wet. Pulling herself up, out of the pool, she suddenly loses feeling in her legs and falling back in. Blurry, under the water, she can see something red and orange. A tail. It looks like a mermaids tail, she gains feeling in her legs but this time.. it feels like she has one leg. Trying to move her leg, she sees the thing that looks like a mermaids tail, moving. Flapping, like she is controlling it. Suddenly it fades away and she can feel both legs now. She gets out of the pool, everyone looking at her and laughing, thinking she's not strong enough to get out of the pool without the ladder. Chapter 3 - Powers ( 30 Minutes Later ) After the swimming race she walks back home. Her mum is watering the garden and suddenly her hands start vibrating.. She lifts her hand and the water moves a little. She doesn’t understand what’s happening, she wants to know and decides to experiment. She scrunches up her hand, the water stops. It’s like the water is slowing down. Her Mum is confused, she quickly stops so her Mum doesn’t find out. “Hi Mum!” she yells, “Hello darling” her mum says. She runs inside and sees Kara, looking at a cup. Kara’s hands start to move. The water in the cup starts slightly vibrating. Kara notices her, she stops moving her hands. The water stops to. “Hi sweetie” Kara says. Lilly replies “Hi..” and runs to her room. She sits down on her bed, searching up what has been happening and why. She thinks - how did Kara do that? Is she the same as me? Does she know what’s happening? Should I ask her? *sigh* nothing comes up. “Yes! something came up!” She scrolls to a site. It’s called ‘Water’ ( 10 minutes later ) Her Mum comes in and says “It’s time for dinner” “Coming, just one sec” She says. After a minute, she starts walking down the stairs for dinner and thinks “What if I have powers?” First - This Is The First Next -
