Common leafback (vulgaris brunneis) is one of the common animals around Yaokoba. They live everywhere on the planet and are usually towards the lower part of the food chain but rarely the bottom. They are omnivores who feed on anything they can find. They seem to have leaf-like appendages on their backs hence their name. During summer in the conditiond for breeding, males will flash them to get attention from females, the way peacocks shake their feathers. The weird spot in between their eyes is an organ called the sorter, it is used for taking in oxygen, by filtering it out through gill-like organs inside, warming the air from the cold atmosphere. Lifespan: 13-15 years Genus: interohamidae
