Sonic 1 Extension is a hypothetical game that shows the entirety of South Island and takes a similar structure to Sonic Adventure. Every character (Sonic, Tails, Amy, and Knuckles) has their own playable story, all taking place before they meet. They all end up facing Dr. Robotnik at the same time. Plot (Sonic's Story) Sonic the Hedgehog was going to a friends house to record the next song for his band The Red Kicks. However, he encounters Dr. Ivo Robotnik on his way there. He shakes it off, thinking he couldn't do any harm. But when he arrived, the rest of the group was gone. He runs out to the front door confused, then looks up and sees that Dr. Ivo Robotnik has the rest of the band caged up. He reads a note the doctor dropped, showing a map from the Green Hills to where he was keeping his friends. Can Sonic navigate South Island and beat through Robotnik's traps?
