coding and fixing everything later!! just wanted to post this quickly A ways down the river, past the big oak tree, you’ll find a toffee-colored brick house. Its round door has a pine tree wreath, with a few yellow and white flowers scattered on it. You grab the knob, turn it, crouch down, and enter. The room’s sunroof warms you, filling you with a sense of comfort. There’s a bench and a coat rack, and you sit down to take off your boots, muddy from wading through the river. You put them in a bin, and walk into the main room of the hobbit hole in your socks. To the left, you’ll find a cozy couch and a rocking chair. A round table scattered with books, overgrown plants and crumbs leftover from a snack sits in front of them. To the right, the kitchen resides, a window letting in the illuminating beams of the sun. Several plants hang from the ceiling, their scents making the room seem even more welcoming than it already is. A dining room is in the back of the room, set with candles and an amber tablecloth. A cream vase of daffodils sits in the center. Near the kitchen, there’s a door. You open it, and it leads to the pantry. It’s filled with lots of food and drink: bread, milk, fruits, vegetables, and more. Your mouth waters at the sight of all of it, and intoxicated by its smell, reach for a honeycomb, but decide not to eat it. You’ll be refueling back at home, with your own food. You head back into the main entrance, notice another door, and step inside. It leads to another room, this time a bedroom. A bed with layers and layers of blankets and pillows sits in the back, and you want to just lie down and go to sleep on it. There’s a dresser topped with plants and pictures from the inhabitant of the hobbit hole’s many journeys, and the dresser’s filled with random trinkets. There’s a closet filled with clothes, sorted by color and type. You notice a bookshelf, and gasp in awe at the many books lined up along the shelves. But, however, one book stands out to you. Secret Passageways, it’s named. Intrigued by why the person living in the hole owns this, you attempt to pull it out, but it seems to be attached to something. You hear a gear shift, and the bookshelf opens to reveal a tunnel leading underground. You slowly walk down the steps, coughing as you inhale some dust, and gasp once you reach the bottom. Lined with string lights, there are even more books. A fluffy rug covers the ground, and you sit down on a pillow. There are no walls to this chamber, only bookshelves. Bins of scrolls containing many stories sit on the ground. You can’t imagine a more peaceful place! Finally feeling well rested, you head back to the mudroom and put your boots back on. Sad to leave this place, you resistantly head out the door, ready to make the long journey back to your home.
