artwork for my recent chapter . [description] a little bit of a lore dump! I wanted to share a little speedpaint (which took me a painstaking long time to figure out the best way to make on scratch since you can't convert videos here unless they are gifs ;;) and this is the rough result of what I managed to put together! it only includes the rendering because the sketch in the video ended up being squashed since I changed canvas dimensions halfway through sobbb the painting result is at the end <3 [side notes] I did end up going with natural colors as opposed to blue/yellow since it seemed like the main problem was just contrast and that can be easily solved! my rendering skills definitely show better with natural colors especially with animals I haven't worked with as often, and so I found it easier for me to stick with what I knew best which is ok sometimes! thanks for all the opinions though, it definitely helped me to up the contrast and figure out the best way to tackle these colors :D [credits] music - is this love, Matsuii (very underrated piano composer, I love learning how to play all their songs! check them out!) art - saiiaway > time to start working on overdue ats ;;;;;
