Nisineos: A large cassowary descendent. Its found in the open savannas of the eastern side of the mountains. They are carnivores (mesocarnivores to be specific), being pursuit hunters they chase after the prey and while delivering powerful bites with their beak. They can run up to 60 kph (37 mph) in short bursts, preferring to run at lower speeds when chasing prey. Tropikonychi: This species are smaller, jungle dwelling herbivores that live in the vast western jungle. They are smaller and have brown feathers to help them blend in with the trees around them. Probably the most striking difference is the crest, as this species attracts mates by colorful crests and loud trumpeting calls. Their quills on their wings have shrank to reduce the chances of then getting caught in the foliage.
