TW: Blood (art), manipulation & lying (backstory) In a world ravaged by disasters, a small organization seeks a fresh start. A new planet, one where they can live peacefully and happily. Honeysuckle was one of the members chosen to explore this planet. It was a great honor. Right? But there were things that she hadn't been told about the planet, and about the organization. Such as that the landing spot they had chosen was on a mountain ledge that could collapse under them. Or that the organization didn't really seek a safer place like Honeysuckle did, they just wanted to be in charge. Or that they had chosen the first explorers knowing that there would be dangers, and made sure they were "expendable". Honeysuckle and her crewmates spent their first few days in a cold cave setting up their equipment. But just as they were prepared to leave and do research, there was an avalanche. They were buried in the rocks and Honeysuckle was severely injured. They barely managed to make it back to their home planet. The organization told her it was for the greater good. She stayed for a while. But after overhearing a conversation that confirmed her suspicions about what they really wanted, she quit. She found work in a library, where she could use stories to try to spread the truth.
