She was severely wounded, but managed to escape the battlegrounds. She went to a nearby lake to rest, not knowing she was being watched. A dragomew appeared behind Lantern and pushed her into the a water, drowning her. It was later revealed that Vine had been responsible of her death. As a spirit, Lantern did everything she could to prevent Vine from being permanently possessed, and she managed to drive out Splinter’s soul from her body. Because of this, though, Splinter became vengeful, and tried to take his fury out on others. Lantern died for the second time fighting Splinter’s soul, as they ended up killing each other.
