He's charming, yes, and possesses a captivating allure that just draws people in. That's probably why he's such a good therapist. He doesn't seem to feel remorse after breaking people's hearts, and he sees other people as pawns in his game. He has a lil bit of a superiority complex, and he's not that good of a person either. He discards people like trash, considering that was the exact things he had been through. Right, and he loves to corrupt people. ______________________________________________Quotes: "Listen to your therapist, mkay? Don't want you getting worse." "Shh. It's okay. Just tell me what's wrong, yeah?" "You can trust me..... patient confidentiality, darling." "Just do what I say, sweetheart. You'll be okay if you do." "Yes, my name is Mercury. Like the god. Do you want me to be your god?" ______________________________________________
Backstory: Mercury never experienced a stable home upbringing. He grew up in Central Blackpool, England. One of the roughest areas in the UK. His parents were deadbeats too. His father was an abusive monster, and his mother was an extreme addict. Mercury grew up surrounded by drugs, and violence. And after they didn't feel like dealing with Mercury anymore, they left him in an alley in Blackpool. It was raining, and Mercury was shivering. He stayed up the whole night, trying not to go to sleep: because he knew that if he did, he might not wake up in the same place. The next morning, Mercury started to walk. He knew better than to ask for a ride from anyone. So he continued to walk, until he got to one of the safer parts of Blackpool. A tourist saw him, twelve year old Mercury Aldridge, alone. So they brought him to the police station. The police gave him into foster care. He ended up in an abusive group home, and Mercury ended up running away from that one. He kept bouncing from foster home to foster home. The one thing he had? Was the fact he excelled in school. One foster home, a couple named Kara and Aaron Callums, were probably the only one who cared a little bit about him. They treated him like their own son. But then Aaron died in a car crash, and Kara just and let out her anger on Mercury, not wanting to have him around anymore. Mercury was fourteen. He applied to an international boarding school in America, and he got in. He passed the entrance exam with flying colors, almost off the charts, and the virtual interview, he excelled on. Not to mention his stellar essay and application. In fact, he even got a scholarship. Kara gladly sent him to that boarding school, but Mercury wasn't all that happy there either. There was a group of rich kids that would always bully Mercury, making fun of him. Rich girls always tried to manipulate Mercury due to his good looks and innocence, and he even fell in love with a girl named Piper Alfonsi, an Italian-American heiress. But Piper ended up stringing Mercury along- and then cheated on him. So then, he changed. He researched about human emotions, and got a grasp on all his classmates. He figured out how their minds worked, and how to beat them at their own game. Mercury pretended to keep being manipulated. But in turn, he was the one manipulating them instead. Mercury ended up graduating from the international school very early at 16, and went to Harvard University, taking an accelerated program and graduating at 18, and then Harvard Medical School, where he became a licensed, practicing therapist at 25. He became a U.S citizen officially as well. He first worked at a mental health clinic, but he soon became popular with all his patients. So then, he started up his own office at the age of 29. Since then, he was acclaimed for being a "model-like, perfect therapist" by magazines, and a ton of patients went to him. But of course, he was just manipulating them all.
