(ooc)) spoilers if you haven't read/watched les mis) Javert, I wrote you a poem! I hope it doesn't make you sad. He stared unblinking at the liquid darkness from which there was no escape. how had his scale been tipped, thrown, torn apart in just a matter of hours? how had his one virtue so suddenly been flipped unmasked destroyed? How had he, in keeping others right, strayed so far into the wrong? He looked up at the stars one last chance, one last hope that he was not a monster they answered by dimming, darkening, disappearing just as his illusions of righteousness his chin dropped to his stone-hearted chest in defeat. the cold mist of the chaos under the bridge bit at his face, inviting him to oblivion he gave himself one moment to consider allowing himself redemption redemption he had refused his fellow men for years. Redemption? how could he ever redeem what he had done? how many people had he dragged, innocent, before the cruelest justice? how many people had he bolted, repentant, to the chain? how many stories had he twisted, terrorized, terminated? what equal price could he pay than the end of his own? he rose, stood on the railing meant to prevent his fall invited the mist of d eath on his skin, took in his final moments he gave the stars one last look of longing they did not answer, dark and cold as the Seine beneath the bridge. There was no way to go on. He jumped and fell and the water in his lungs felt like flames. (i'm sorry i just thought it was kind of pretty i'm sorry if it makes you sad--- it made me sad too *cries*) here i wrote one about the stars for you | V
