The boulderyak (ostus osto) is a relative of the kopperyak and a member of the yak family. Unlike the kopperyak, though, boulderyaks lay eggs instead of giving live birth, and don't have distinguishable larval forms. Boulderyaks couldn't exist on Earth because of their massive backs held by tiny legs. However, this can work out on Yaokoba because of its weaker gravity. The boulderyaks' backs are humps which store fat and have many stomachs to digest the fat from different kinds of plants. Boulderyaks are important to the forest ecosystem because they clear out and eat old shleem, making it easier for new, healthy shleem to grow. Lifespan: 30-40 years Genus: ostovorgae
