Chapter Twenty-Six "Harry, you’ve got to listen to me!” Harmony pleaded. “I’m not with Voldemort!” “You-Know-Who!” Ron hissed. “She’s not!” yelled Melody, forcibly restrained by Noah. “I’m his great-niece, why aren’t you questioning me!?” “So you mean to tell me,” Harry growled, “That you and/or Draco aren’t with the Death Eaters?” “No!” Harmony said. “Can’t you just believe me? I am his sister!” “Harry thinks that because you’re Draco’s sister, you can…” Hermione trailed off. “Give us inside… information?” “I would NEVER betray my family,” Harmony hissed. “Just like I would never betray my friends.” “See, that’s the problem!” Harry ran a hand through his hair, making it stick up at odd angles. “Do you know how serious this is, Harmony? If I miss ONE thing, it will be the end of us all. Voldemort…” “You-Know-Who!” hissed Ron again. “Voldemort,” Harry continued, “Will reign over us all. The good people will die. Do you realize just how big of a responsibility that is on my shoulders, Harmony?” Harmony lowered her eyes to the floor. “I’m sorry, Harry. I just can’t.” “Well, at least I know my sister’s also a traitor,” Harry glared at Ava. “Honestly Ava, why wouldn’t you tell me that one of your best friends is Malfoy’s sister?” “Does it matter?” Ava shrugged. “She’s not like the rest of the Malfoys.” “And I would APPRECIATE it,” Harmony snapped, “If you would not DISCRIMINATE against me and my friends. You should know better than anyone that it’s just a name.” Harry glared at her. “Harry, she’s right,” Hermione offered timidly. “I…” “Whatever!” Harry barked. “Fine. But if Malfoy disappears, or acts suspiciously, you will tell me EVERYTHING you know. Got that?” Harmony lifted her eyes to his. “I understand, The-Boy-Who-Lived,” she snapped, before turning to her friends. “Come on guys, let’s go.” Dumbfounded, her friends followed her out. The second they’d cleared the crowd Fennec whistled. “Merlin’s beard Harmony, I’ve never seen you so fierce!” “How did the talk with Draco go?” Aurora asked, her black hair flying out behind her. “He’s not a Death Eater!” Harmony whisper-squealed. “And we’re friends again.” “Are you sure?” Fennec said. “Honestly Fennec, why do you have to be all suspicious again?” Harmony said crossly. “Can’t you just believe me?” “Well, I mean, he is Draco,” Fennec replied, shrugging. “And he’s my sibling too!” Harmony barked. “Damn it Fennec, you sound exactly like Harry.” She rolled her eyes and stormed ahead. “Touchy much?” Fennec raised an eyebrow. Harmony turned, her blonde hair flying. “Oh shut up!” she roared, before storming into the library. The group was silent. “I’ll go get her,” Aurora offered. She left the group and ducked into the library. “Harmony,” she found the girl sitting in a corner, pointedly reading a book. “Hey, I get it. But Fennec has a hard time at home, maybe you should just help him out?” “So what? I have a worse time at home.” Harmony sniffed. “Besides, he’s so freaking pigheaded recently, I’m sick of him.” Aurora sighed. “Remember how Fennec dated Nicole?” “That red-headed rat.” “Yeah, well, you were jealous then.” “… I guess I was, but I think we should take a break.” “Harmony?” Both girls jumped, seeing Fennec standing there. “Uh oh... uhh.. hi,” Aurora said uncomfortably. “So that’s it? You want a break?” Fennec crossed his arms. “That’s all? I’ve given you space, Harmony. Seriously. Can’t you see I have problems too?” “Well, I’m IGNORED at home!” Harmony said, frowning. “At least your mother cares!” “But my father doesn’t!” “Neither does mine!” “SHHHHHH” the librarian yelled. Fennec lowered his voice. “You want a break? Fine. Two weeks. You won’t talk to me, I won’t talk to you. I’ll hang around with the Ravenclaws.” Harmony felt wrong inside, but she nodded. “Okay.” “Guys, wait…” Aurora protested, but Fennec had already turned around and left.
Welp. I feel bad for this chapter now. My poor Harmony is going through so much right now :sobs in potterhead heartbreak: I feel like Harmony's just too immature for now so she's going to take a break for a while. So, we'll have Fennec occasionally appearing, and then disappearing, and then... maybe we can sort them two out. In the meantime, we've reached chapter 26! WOW! I am so dumbfounded that people still like this <3 Please remember to heart and fave for more, and if you can or haven't already pls follow me! Next chapter will be after Easter, I'm away all of the school holidays :) ~Harmony xx
