Hi! This is my entry for the DTA hosted by @_silverspider_ These are my two entries for the forest witch character. (I hope it's okay that I have two for one character, the rules didn't say anything about that so I just assumed I could but if I can't I'm sorry.) Click or press spacebar to advance 1. Thumbnail. Ignore how bad it is, for some reason scratch doesn't when I draw with it. 2. First entry, scratch killed the quality so I'm sorry. It's the Forest Witch exploring a cave, which you will here more about a bit later. 3. The sketch, just because 4. Entry 2, this one is done in my comic style, so it's much more cartoony. Both entries were done on paper first, and then I took a picture of them and did lineart and color on procreate. Character Lore/A quick story for the first entry (Because why not) The Forest Witch Name: Florian Official title: The Forest Witch Backstory: Florian was trained at the Academy, the most prestigious witch school. There, she made friends with another witch, Marina. They were inseparable, and even though they studied different types of elemental magic, they helped each other with schoolwork. However, Florian started to experiment with ancient magic, which was forbidden in the Academy. She was found out and expelled, although she still sneaks in to see Marina. The quick story: Tw: Mentions of death, mentions of violence Tuesday 3/1 I found a cave on the edge of the forest. I sensed magic coming from it, and there is a purple glow that comes from inside. I want to investigate further, but I'm not sure if that's a good idea. Marina would probably tell me to stay away, but I just can't shake the feeling I have to go in there. - Florian Monday 3/7 I started to explore the entrance of the cave. The crystals seem to react to my magic. I think they have ancient magic stored in them, but to be sure, I need to test them. I think that I should explore the cave further. I haven't told Marina about any of this. She would be too worried. - Florian Wednesday 3/16 I tried to pour some of my magic into the crystal, and it started to float. It follows my hand as long as I supply it with magic. I also explored deeper into the cave. There are stone tablets with runes on them. This is definitely ancient magic. Strange marks started to appear on my arm, and I'm not sure I can hide them from Marina. She'll ask what I'm doing, so I should come up with a good excuse. I still have a lot of things I want to know about the cave. - Florian Thursday 3/24 A girl started appearing in my mirror. She has large antlers, and the same marks that keep appearing on me. The crystals from the cave seem to be growing out of her. She keeps shouting at me, but I can't hear her. I'm sure of it now, this is ancient magic I'm dealing with. - Florian Friday 4/1 I can hear the girl now. She keeps telling me to stop. The marks are all over my body now, and I can feel crystal antlers growing from my head. Am I turning into her? I'm getting worried now. I told Marina about the cave and she told me it was a horrible idea to go in there. I think she was right. What have I done? - Florian Saturday 4/9 I think the cave is doing things to my head. - Florian Sunday 4/17 She was there. Marina was there. I didn't mean to do it, but she was there in the cave and then the girl was there again and I threw a crystal at her. It didn't hit her. It hit Marina, right through the heart. She's gone. Dead. It's my fault. I'm turning into a monster. I have to bring Marina back. She can fix this. I know she can. I will bring her back. I have to. - Florian
