"No." Rein's answer was hard. He was being serious. He wasn't going to sneak into Olympus and steal one of the god's symbol of power. And he wasn't going to k!|| to do it either. "But, think of what you could do with that power," James Sorani said. "You could bring your mother back." "But that power is not meant for mortals, or demigods," Rein argued back. "It's the gods symbol for a reason!" Deimos put a hand on Rein's shoulder, and said, "Relax, Rein." Rein shot him a look that told him to be quiet. "I am all for being the next King of the Underworld, but I'm not stealing a symbol of power to do it." Chaos looked him in the eye, and said, "You will if you know what's good for you." Obviously, Rein wasn't good at responding to threats. "Just because you're Chaos doesn't mean you're in the position to make thr3@ts," he retorted. James Sorani shot him a warning look. "My Lord, I'm sorry, but maybe this isn't for me." Rein turned around to walk away, and stopped to look at Deimos. "Are you coming with me?" Deimos looked at Chaos, who was looking at Rein with a raised eyebrow. *Was Deimos really going to stay with Chaos?* Rein thought to himself. He looked at James Sorani, and saw that he was texting someone on his phone. He looked back at Deimos, who sighed. "I'm sorry, Rein. But I can't." "Coward," Rein muttered, opening the door, and walking out. "Don't call me a coward!" Deimos yelled after him. Rein turned back to the Lord of Chaos, James, and Deimos. Deimos ran at him, and punched his chest hard. Rein staggered back, and saw Deimos breathing heavily. "I am not a coward since I am doing this for you, for us. Just stay, and help me out." James Sorani hurried over to him, and helped him stand up. He was smirking, and whispered in Rein's ear, "You shouldn't have called him that." He nodded. That was something he already knew. "I'll do it," he said under his breath. Lord Chaos looked at him, and raised an eyebrow. He repeated himself. "I said I'll steal the Helm of Darkness." Lord Chaos clapped, and said, "Lovely. Now, I suggest you go talk with Deimos." James Sorani nodded beside him, agreeing with him. "Fine, but I'll start working on my plan tomorrow," Rein said, walking out of the cabin. He started walking along the beach, and sighed when he saw Deimos in the water. Rein took his shirt off, and then his boots. He walked into the water slowly, as if he feared water. As he walked further in, Deimos turned to him slightly. Deimos's green hair was soaking wet, and his dark grey eyes looked at him expectantly. Rein walked up to Deimos, and put a hand on his shoulder. "I never should've called you a coward," Rein mumbled under his breath. Deimos looked at him, and asked, "Are you trying to apologize?" Rein looked down, and nodded. *Why couldn't he just let me say I'm sorry?* He thought to himself. Deimos put a hand on his cheek, and tipped Rein's face up to look at him better. "Because if you did, I accept." Rein laughed, and rolled his eyes. Deimos shifted himself so they could look at the sunset, and Rein rested his head on Deimos's shoulder. Deimos put an arm around Rein's waist, and smiled at him. Rein smiled back before looking back at the sunset. Far behind them, Thanatos sat on the shore, watching them. "How is it that my son is in l()v3 with fear?" He asked himself. He was careful to keep his presence hidden. He had seen the god of fear get way to close to his son, and he didn't like it. He watched them closely as they watched the sunset. The god of d3 didn't approve of this. Not even a little bit. Thanatos continued to watch them for a couple of minutes, then rolled his eyes. The two immortals were in l()v3, and their was nothing he could do about it. He turned his back on them, and disappeared back into the underworld, kneeling in front of his master. "Thanatos?" Lord Hades asked, looking down at him from a throne of bones. The god of d3 looked up at his master, and waited for him to speak. "Where is Rein?" Thanatos sighed, and said, "With Deimos." Hades rolled his eyes, and said, "Of course he is. Any idea what they were doing?" The god of d3 laughed, and said, "Watching the sunset." The god of the underworld rolled his eyes, and shook his head. "Just go, and get out of my sight," Thanatos's master said, looking away from him. Thanatos sighed, and disappeared from the underworld. Back at the water, Rein glanced at Deimos, who had his eyes closed. Rein sighed softly, and asked, "Why do you think Chaos will win?" The god of fear laughed, and said, "Because Chaos is older than dirt. And because I'm sure we'll win." "But if we don't, I'll get punished again," Rein mumbled, looking down. "What do you mean by again?" "I've been punished for hurting the son of Zeus," Rein mumbled. "I now have to serve them for ten years after this d@|\/|n quest." "Quest?" "To stop Chaos, I suppose," Rein said, swimming away from Deimos. From the corner of Rein's eye, he could see
Deimos's facial expression, which was angry. Great, the one person he liked, and that liked him back, was mad with him. All because of a quest he hadn't wanted. Rein started to swim back to shore when he thought of something. Deimos was all about fear. Maybe that's why he's sticking to Chaos's side. He's afraid of betraying the Lord of Chaos. Rein turned back to Deimos, who was still facing the sun. "I'm sorry, Deimos. But this time, we'll stand on different sides," Rein said as loud as he could. Deimos didn't even acknowledge his comment. Rein shook his head, and shadow-teleported himself to camp. When the queasy feeling was gone, he opened his eyes, and saw Chiron looking at him. "Where have you been?" Chiron asked. Rein laughed, and said, "It's better to ask where I haven't been."
