She gasped, her eyes snapping over. Few, I’m still alive. She didn’t know what would happen if she died in her dreams. However, she felt a tingling of blood run down her skin where she was stabbed. Well, sorta of alive. She sat up out of her bed, covering the wound, and limped to her drawer where she pulled out some bandages. So, injuries that happen in dreams happen in the real world, keep that in mind I guess. She then remembered Nightwing. He’d better have a good explanation for his actions. After wrapping up the wound, she stepped outside towards Nightwing’s cabin and knocked on the door. “Nightwing,” She called through the door. The door creaked as it opened revealing Navy, “Is Nightwing in there?” “He woke up early to head out with Floof,” He explained, “What’s wrong? I’m not in trouble, right?” “No Navy, you’re not in trouble, thanks for the information, I’ll speak with him when he returns,” She stepped down from the porch, looking towards the path leading into the camp. It’s gonna be a while till they return, I guess I can get Fury and maybe Navy would like to get out of camp. She headed back inside her cabin, taking her sword off the hooks in the wall and heading back out to find Fury. “You wanna join me patrolling the boundaries?” “Sure, why not,” “Here, wait on the path, I’ll see if Navy wants to join or Blade, Storm, and Neon,” She saw Navy walking out of his cabin and walked down to greet him, “You don’t get to come out of camp enough, wanna join me and Fury to check the boundaries?” “Yes!” His eyes widened with joy, “Do I need a sword, would I get to fight off bad guys?” She tried to hold back a chuckle as she responded, “Well hopefully we don’t have to, wouldn’t want anyone invading the camp. As for a sword, if we do run anything, me and Fury will take them while you hide,” “When do I get to fight?” “When you are trained, and that won’t be for a few more years. Now come, Fury is waiting by the entrance,” “Hey, what’s this?” Navy’s voice was coming from up ahead. “I thought we warned you to stay close,” Fury reminded as they came up to where Navy was pointing at the ground. “I was close!” Daring kneeled, examining the tracks. It was similar to what she and Nightwing found the other day. Just as she thought after taking another look, it was Vivir and her undead army and it was recent. “Vivir’s here,” She warned, “Navy, I’m gonna need you to stay extra close, okay?” He nodded in agreement before they followed the tracks. She didn’t like to bring Navy this close into danger, but it would be worse if he traveled back on his own. They started noticing more of the zombie’s bodies lying on the ground. There was a fight here. “What has happened here, who could have done this?” Fury asked. Daring examined the bodies, along with Fury and Navy. “Hey, look!” Navy pointed out, “Ice! Doesn’t Nightwing have an Ice Power?” Daring shared a worried glance with Fury before they burst into a run following the trail of undead and tracks. Sure enough, their suspicions were right. Vivir was here engaged in combat with Nightwing while Floof looked to be unconscious. She was about to shoot a lightning bolt towards Vivir but remembered that it would be pointless and only put them in more danger. “Navy, hide!” Without checking back, she pulled her sword to help Nightwing while Fury checked on Floof. As she fought, she felt blood start dripping down her skin again. She pushed the feeling away, continuing to fight. There wasn’t time for her to rebandage it. “Now you know what betrayals feel like, I’m just sorry I had to use your brother to get through to you,” “Your tricks won’t work on us, Vivir!” Anger surged through his voice. Suddenly, he noticed Vivir’s eyes go blank when she collapses onto the floor. “Wha–” But before she could finish, she felt her body go limp as well.
