“For years, I had been telling everyone that bunnies would take over the world. They made fun of me, but look who’s laughing now…” “mwahahahahahaha.. MWAHAHAHAHA-“ “Uhm, sir?” Hop says, interrupting Leap. “What? Can’t you see I’m in the middle of something?” Leap growls, tugging at a strand on grass beneath him. “Sorry sir, I just came here to tell you that our tomato stash we found yesterday has disappeared..” Hop says anxiously. “WHAT?” Leap says, widening his eyes. He jumps to his feet, and turns to look at Hop. “We kept that stash very hidden! Who could have found it?” Leap cries. “I’m not sure…” says Hop. “I thought only me, you, and Cotton knew where we had hidden it…” “Cotton.” Leap hissed. “That rabbit you always MOON over?” “Stay out of my business.” Hop says, flicking his ear irritably. “Why did you tell her where we hid it?” Leap asks, facepalmed. “Because I- nevermind, forget it. Follow me.” Hop says, waving his paw. “Burrow Of The Tree!” Leap calls, “our tomato stash has disappeared.” Gasps rippled across the Tree Rabbits. “Wow, that was straight-forward.” Hop says, raising his eyebrows at Leap, who’s standing right next to him. “There’s only three, yes, THREE rabbits here that know where we hid the stash. That’s me,” Leap points to himself, “Hop,” Leap points to Hop, who is still having weird faces, “and Cotton.” All rabbits turn to look at Cotton, who is standing in the middle of the crowd. “I didn’t steal it, I swear!” Cotton says to no one in particular. Then her eyes turn to stare into Hop’s from across the Burrow, Hop’s eyes flashing with sympathy. “Did you tell anyone else where the stash was?” Leap questions Cotton, thumping his foot on the ground. “I don’t think so.” “Hm.” Leap says, giving up. “Maybe a Sea Rabbit was spying on us?” “Those sand bunnies don’t give a crab about us.” Grass shouts from the back of the crowd. “We could be wrong. Burrow Of The Sea doesn’t have much fruits and vegetables in their area. Maybe that’s a reason they stole ours..” Hop says, slightly hesitating. “Well, that sounds reasonable enough to me, we should go there now and take them back!” Leap declares. Hop tries to squeak out another word of protest, until Leap gently bites him on the ear as a sign of “let’s go!”
