There's a lot of lore, so strap in. Also, the sound explains it all perfectly. :D So. Rust wasn't supposed to be activated, Eclipse just built things in his spare time. FazCo never really let him activate anything because they were stingy. It had to be theirs if it would run on their networks and work in their Mega Mall. However, around the time Rust was created, human staff and Staff Bots were going missing...mysteriously. FazCo needed a janitor and a Security protocol, STAT. So, they turned to Eclipse's new project. Rust was built like a child; Eclipse had been working experimentally with several child-sized designs because, believe it or not, he had a pang of jealousy towards Bl00dst4in and his child, and how Galaxy looked at Sun and Moon as her parents (even if they weren't <><>). He knew he'd never get to activate the child, but he'd built it anyway. Then FazCo stepped in and asked him if he'd activate it. Naturally, he was ecstatic. He'd finally have a child! However, he contained his excitement as he asked what the catch was. He wouldn't get to keep them as a child. Rust was upgraded to a bigger model, more teenager-esque, and given a number of security measures. Eclipse worked hard, day and night, toiling away on the intricate tools that were implanted in his soon-to-be-alive creation. He heightened the sensors, tested them multiple times, and deemed them good. He even gave Rust intelligence; sentience. FazCo wasn't satisfied. They ordered Eclipse to make a k1ll code for Rust, something that could be activated if necessary. Eclipse was horrified. A k1ll code in his child? No way. But, as FazCo pointed out, Eclipse couldn't disobey orders, or he'd receive a controlled shock, so he had no choice but to obey. He became an expert in k1ll codes during his trials; how they worked, and how to stop them. And, as a countermeasure against the violent nature of any and all k1ll codes, he made specially coded pins that would put Hyde.exe to sleep until the pins were pulled. The first time Rust opened their golden eyes and recognised Eclipse, he was overjoyed and overcome with an emotion he'd never felt in large amounts: love. Fatherly love, specifically. However, Rust's sensors weren't fully heightened, and they seemed confused, and Eclipse realised he forgot to tune up their sensors for the last time, and put them under again to work on that. When tested again, Rust seemed to be in a great deal of pain, so Eclipse turned them down. The last test was to test Hyde.exe. Eclipse apologised to Rust as he pulled their pins, and their eyes snapped open as Hyde took control. Hyde seemed to behave strangely toward Eclipse, listening quietly to his every word, their eyes sparkling. Upon asking about intruders, however, Hyde growled and grew hostile, straining to break free from their precautionary restraints. Eclipse, satisfied with the kill code, put them back to sleep, and so began Rust's journey in the Plex.
Okay, this universe itself also needs lore, so here, lemme essplain some shoozle: The story itself is lore-packed and confusing, and some people hate it because of some of the relationships. Basically, before T0ast, Nebula was in a poly relationship with Sun and Moon (who were still in one body at the time). When T0ast appeared, however, both Neb and T0ast fell in love and Neb left the Daycare Boys for T0ast. They had children, and y'all know what happened with them. (sobbing). Anyways, after both were gone in THIS universe (not our combined universe, guys-) Sun and Moon took full charge of the daycare and were put into their own bodies. Galaxy, a child animatronic, was made to help with Sun and Moon, and she's under the strong impression she's their child. However, Sun and Moon both shoot this idea down. Moon ends up meeting Bl00dst4in (this AU), and they...uh...have Bauble (please don't ask, I'm suffering). As soon as it's known that Moon helped create Bauble, bro said "peace" and refused to pay child support. Bl00dst4in is forced to single-handedly raise his son by himself. Then, Eclipse enters the picture. None of you know where Daisy came from, but Eclipse is actually the answer. Before he dimension travelled and became attached to (this AU) FazCo, he made Daisy. Daisy, my little butterfly bean, decided to run away because Eclipse was overprotective over his first creation, and didn't want her to get hurt. She basically said "nope, I'm outta here," and left, and since then, she's been wandering dimensions. So technically, she's Rust's sister in a way. Eclipse moved to this dimension, settled in, made Rust, and OMG. He starts to fall in love with Bl00dst4in. Of course, at first, it's just a little crush, but then he eventually falls head over heels and does as much as he can to get Bl00dst4in's attention. Bl00dst4in, being constantly bothered by Eclipse, starts to get used to him and eventually begins to reciprocate those feelings. Eventually: YIPPEE!! Bauble and Rust become siblings through the marriage of their parents. Yayyyy!! (And I'm planning on them getting a little sister, but at the same time I feel I'll be judged for it.) Oh, and both Nebula and T0ast were revived by a mysterious person :D So Nebula went back with the bois and T0ast ran off. (Okay, basically, in the afterlife, Nebula told T0ast to move on. Harsh.) Anyways, Y'all all caught up? Good. :D Let my reign begin.
