Olive stepped into the space shakily. One paw after the other. Cold breath escaped her partially open mouth. They could do this. Just answer a few questions. Easy. Olive sat across the other cat, who was staring at fae with cold piercing eyes. "So," Olive startled, looking up at the interviewer. "Olive, our very own from district 1! How exciting! All of Panem can't wait to get to know you!" The interviewer tilted her head slightly, smiling at Olive. "Say, this is quite the unique outfit you have on. Your stylists certainly did a lovely job." The interviewer gestured to Olive's outfit. She wore a layered leaf-like piece over their shoulder, lacy fingerless gloves with vines wrapped around them, boots with plants coming out of them, and various flowers and leaves in faer fur. If one looked close enough, they would even notice that her pupils were seemingly flower shaped. "I am Cinere, and I for one cannot wait to ask you some questions. Now, where shall we start?" Olive barely had a chance to say anything before Cinere continued. "All tributes need inspiration and drive to survive, besides the obvious, staying alive. What. Is your inspiration and drive? Who do you have pulling for you at home?" Olive grinned slightly. "Yes, while most cats do it for the fame or the luxury, or simply to be able to say they made it out alive in these impossible odds, me not so much." Olive paused, hoping to draw cats in. "You see, fame and luxury means nothing to me. You can't buy love nor happiness with riches. I hope to win for my family, and to go back to them and continue living life as normal. See, the victors are still normal cats, just like the rest of us. Fame doesn't change that." "Hmm. How touching." Cinere remarked, seemingly sarcastically. "Right then, let's move onto the next question! Do you think you deserve to win?" This question struck Olive. Did she? "While there are many tributes, none of whom deserve to die, does anyone really /deserve/ to win? We're all thrown in these trying times totally random, not trying to be here. I believe I do deserve to win, but no more than anyone else does." "Interesting. Onto our final question. What do you think of the other tributes here?" Cinere had a slightly devious grin on her face, as if trying to make other tributes mad at Olive. Very well. Two could play at that game. "Well, cats are complicated. You never know where you may find an ally or an enemy. You see, cats are like ivy. Growing and pushing others aside until they take over everything. You never know if it's harmless or poison, so you get rid of it, just to be safe. But I know. You see, when you work with plants as long as I have, meet enough cats, you can begin to tell the difference between those who will help you, and those who will drive the kn!f3 of betrayal into your back." "Well, with that, we are out of time. Thank you Olive. It was a pleasure to have you." Cinere said, voice faltering slightly. "Everyone give it up for Olive of District 1!" Cats in the crowd clapped and cheered for Olive as they walked off stage. Hopefully it was enough. Like Olive had said, you can never truly tell when someone was faking or not. But having that skill was helpful, and would certainly assist in the arena.
