[ What if Karmen Agren was born an angel? ] Karmen grew up in a small town in Kansas, far away from most vampiric and witch populations. Here, werewolves are occasionally an issue, but the most common incidents are a result of Demons or cryptids hiding out in farm fields. He grew up learning to track creatures, and being pressured to never hesitate. Ever. His best friend, who was a demon without realizing it, discovered Karmen's identity the same day as his own. Lucas began putting distance between himself and Karmen, for both their safeties. Karmen of course, eventually realized what Lucas was, and initially reacted with anger. In the summer of 2001, he confronted Lucas only to discover how afraid his friend had been of him. Karmen was never a hateful person. He had never enjoyed the tasks he was trained for. And now Lucas was begging him for mercy. Karmen ended up helping Lucas get of of the town, trying yo make it look like they had fought by intentionally cutting Lucas's arm. However, thanks to another angel being close by, he was found out and punished. Lucas however, was never heard from again and is assumed to be living perfectly well on his own. That day was the first time Karmen realized how much he hated blood on his sword. Year pass, and little changes for Karmen. Other angels resent him for letting Lucas escape, but do not have a reaction much worse than grumbling about the boy behind his back. Until it happens again. In spring of 2023, Karmen let a demon child escape from a sunflower field. This time, it was agreed almost unanimously that the boy was soft, weak even. Even his parents, often protective of their son, agreed that something had to be done. It was his sister who came up with the idea to send him to Salem. An angel there by the name of Kennedy Scott agreed to take him in for a year or so, and let him patrol with her group. Everyone was hoping his time in Salem would toughen him up and make him see the importance of their duty. Unfortunately, they were incredibly wrong. When Karmen began discussing ideas of peace between species, it was at first dismissed, then annoying, then finally, a real problem. He was claiming that angels were not truly helping humans, and he was witnessing corruption of his people before his very eyes. It is unknown how much the group he was often with influenced these views. Of course, nobody listened to the newcomer, the practical child, and perhaps, they should have. One day, after a massive argument with higher ranking angels, he simply disappeared. Rumors of him potentially switching sides circulated like rushing stream water, subtle but impossible to block out. One of the angels from the group he was placed with by the name of Dawson became determined to find out the truth. When he located Karmen and found the truth behind these rumors, he was enraged. He claimed to have blinded the young angel in at least on of his eyes as punishment for his actions, and nobody's seen or heard from Karmen since. Nobody except for the very people he was trained to murder.

He's 5'7, with fewer freckles than typically drawn with. Despite these changes, his personality remains mostly unchanged. 3. The handle of Karmen's sword. 4 - The general length and design of his sword. 5 - His sword is covered in golden floral engravings, making it a rather unique weapon that he often uses as a source of inspiration for him poetry. He hates this weapon. Every time he kills or harms something, their blood is caught in the carvings and he is forced to clean it in order to prevent stains. And it breaks him. Every.
