I KEEP MAKING FRIGGIN ENIGMA STUFF RRGHHH. (distorted your stuff is best tho) [BLOOD WARNING] Here story Chapter 1 ____________ Blinding light. Swirling color. It was so dizzying. He was DEFINITELY going to be sick. It was too warm and yet too cold. Then it stopped. When he came to, he had no idea where in the world he was. Wait, was that even real? Was he even real? He supposed he must be, if these thoughts were to happen and he was to process this, and just to prove this to be correct, he should open his eyes. And so he opened them. The first thought was "Nope, definitely not real." He was immediately staring at what he could recognize as what should or is himself. It was a vibrant red, with no eyes and a large X over its face. There was a stubby snout with no visible teeth and small jagged lines instead, but when he attempted to open them it remained firmly shut. Large floppy ears sat limply at it's sides and a set of impressive horns were implanted at the top of its head. It's body was of a normal dog's, but a long tail with a small set of pincers sat at the very end, which made all the difference. When he sat up, the creature did too. The floor was made of wood and creaked under his paws, and then he turned away from his reflection to scan the room. The walls were presumably white before they had decayed with age, turning to a dusty yellow and the paint peeled off the walls. A hole in the roof supplied an adequate amount of moonlight to see the rest. A small bed with an iron base sat up to the wall by a shattered window. The covers were thrown off the bed and onto the floor, and a rather large pillow had been thrown across the room and was sitting right next to him. A broken nightstand sat splintered next to the bed and a shattered lamp was flickering in the remains. He felt extremely tired from what had just happened, so he jumped onto the pillow that seemed strangely soft under him. Even the pillow was a bit too small, but he went right to sleep anyway. The sleep was fitful, with strangely vivid dreams of.. falling through a mirror? That couldn't be right. There were also points where he seemed to be awake and someone was carrying him, but that was absurd. He was probably in the middle of nowhere right now, still on the too-small pillow and sleeping soundly. He was wrong. __________ Chapter 2 __________ The next time he woke up, he was absolutely not on the small pillow in the middle of nowhere. He was in a cardboard box stuffed with blankets and small pillows. It was an odd arrangement, but comfortable nonetheless. He stood up, and looked about. What he saw shocked him. It was a neatly arranged house with many, many creatures like him, though they varied a lot. Some were blue, brown, pink, green, had multiple eyes, limbs, tails, and even horns. He thought that if the time ever came that he would meet another like him, he would be happy with just that. Not now. He just felt fear. As he stared, baffled at all his lookalikes, a bright blue one with curved, impressive horns approached and emitted a screech that caused a horde of burly ones to jump from the ranks and surround them. Then it spoke. "Hello, newcomer. I am Biru." It was pleasant voice, but ice-cold and as threatening as needles. "Who are you? A spy for Lapis? Another Enigmawraithe come to destroy us all?" They immediately demanded, with each sentence drawing closer. For what seemed like the first time but didn't feel like it, he said in a surprisingly deep voice; "I-I don't know. I have no recollection of being here besides today, and even now I don't know where I am. I don't even know WHO I am." "Silence! I sense lies. We'll have to get Ogurzi-" They started, but was cut off by a booming voice. "Biru? What is this disrespect? Are you going to do this for EVERY enigma that comes through a mirror in this household?" A yellow creature, or supposedly a 'Enigmawraithe' he thought, entered the room. They had one eye, smooth yellow tint to the skin, and red impressive horns. "Sorry about this. Go to the back, They'd like to meet you. First door to the left. I'll take care of this." He was pretty sure this was Ogurzi, and so he quickly skittered into the hall and used the exact instructions from them. A black and white shape sat at a bed, vaguely humanoid, and looked to be in considerable pain. Small spikes sprouted from the shoulders and a blue tie sat innocently next to it, with small bloodstains scattered around sparsely and staining the blue velvet. A large bite mark was firmly etched in the side of this.. He didn't know what it was. It was outlined in dried blood and looked as if someone tried and failed to mop it up, as a small container filled with reddish water sat at the side of the bed and a stained dish rag floated inside. He was wary, but with such a creature in this much pain he thought it might not be hard to fend it off, if it came to it. Cont in creds
Yes I'm highly aware that the character for distorted is outdated- Imma do the bite thing in the story. All from @Distorted-Reality Reading this makes me cringe The door was barely ajar, but this crack was wide enough for him to open it up. The door squeaked and the creature jumped and turned around. Same colors, black and white, but they had one singular eye- a bloodred eye with a slitted pupil, with no visible mouth. "Oh!" They exclaimed, struggling to get up to properly introduce themself. They finally managed to and added "Please, come in." He was suddenly more nervous then before as he cautiously walked over. They sat down again and said "New Enigma, huh? Let me guess- Biru scared you and Ogurzi stepped in." "How did you-" he started. "Oh, they left the room due to some commotion and here you are now, so I can put two and two together."They waved their hand in a spinning motion. "Call me Distorted. My full name is Distorted-Reality, but nobody calls me that. What's yours?" "I don't have a.. name?" He wasn't quite he ever had a name before, though he racked his brain. "That's not unusual, Enigmawraithes don't usually have names. I would give you out in an NTC, but you seem like a special case." Distorted took a minute to think. "What do you think of.. Rai? _________ Chapter 3 _________ Rai accepted his new 'name' and left the room. He had a lot to think about. First of all, who was Lapis? Why was Biru so aggravated about it? Also, what in the world was wrong with Distorted? They were in pain, there was a bloodstained rag, and what was up with the huge bite mark? At this point, he had more questions than answers. He decided not to think about that just yet, and thought about why he couldn't remember past waking up in the abandoned... House? Room? Rai couldn't remember even where he was? He felt unsettled. How could Rai have forgotten all his past life? Was this normal? Was he normal? And what was an NTC? This was too much. He realized all the Enigmas in the living room were staring at him. "Hi?" He tentatively said. They all immediately turned away to speak in small whispery conversation. Rai was about to turn away and hide in the hallway somewhere when an excited voice piped up behind him. "Hey there, new guy!" It was indeed another smaller Enigmawraithe that seemed very catlike. It was a baby blue color, with large ears and big whiskers. It was very small and had 6 legs with a long tail that ended in a rattle. It also had, an oddly familiar trend, one eye. "What's your name? Mine is Digo." Rai was taken aback by their enthusiasm. The rest of the Enigmas seemed repulsed by him, since Biru interrogated Rai. But this seemed different, almost.. friendly? "Rai. Do you know where I can stay? I don't know what to do." "Oh, yeah! I can totally help you! And I'm sorry about Biru," they said in a whisper "She can be a little over-the-top." Rai would have rolled his eyes, if that were possible. "You think?" He mumbled.
