Yeah I started a human series back in the final Art Piece of the Week, and I'm glad. This gives a lot more opportunity than a Warrior Cats series. Prologue: He was tired of this place. The drone of everyday life, occasionally broken up by petty squabbles the patrol guards had to end before they got out of hand. The life wasn't that bad. It was the monotony and the rulers that were the problem. They always had some book, some code they held everyone to. Every time a revolt would start to come together, they would shut it down and use their "code" to tell us what the citizens had to do. Everyone would leave, but the guards would block the gates, which were always shut anyway. But today was the day. After careful planning, he was going to break out. His job as a custodian for so long had paid off. They trusted him with the key to the room which held their ancient book. The glass box in which it was held was secured, but he had a contact which had given him a small device that he guaranteed would shut the cameras down for 10 minutes. Plenty of time to destroy the glass and get out of this wretched place. He slipped on his leather gloves and hoodie. His bag packed, a small rope with a large metal hook, and the cover of darkness, he entered their temple. He opened the room, quiet as not to alert any guards, and walk in. He knew the security workers would notice something once the cameras went down, so he prepared himself to run. He activated the device, broke the glass, grabbed the book, and rushed out of the room. He sprinted down the stairs and out the door, straight for the gates. He heard the shouts of guards, but adrenaline rushed in his system, and his heart was beating slightly louder than the shouts. He was just thankful their guns were locked up for now, seeing as the soldiers usually resorted to swords or knives if needed. He swung his hooked rope over the wall, yanked to seat it, and started climbing up. Flashlight beams danced on the wall around him, until one found their target. all the other beams snapped to his location, but he was already climbing over the top of the fence. The barbed wire caught on his jeans, but he yanked them free, jumped from the fence, and ran as fast as he could. He pulled the book from his bag. He was on to phase two.
